"Friday (Song) is The debut of talented up and coming “artist” and civil rights activist Rebecca Black. “Friday” addresses the problems encountered by America’s youth on a day-to-day basis. Topics range from morning routines to civil rights issues reminiscent of Rosa Parks. Black, within the first minute of the song is relegated to the back seat of an overcrowded Chrysler coupe. Her choice to not wear a seatbelt is an allegory for Black’s rebellion against the prejudiced mores of society. In this vein Rebecca Black can be thought of as a modern day civil rights crusader, showing the ability of the landed nobility identify with the struggle of the proletariat.
Rebecca Black explores new choreographic styles with her back up dancers the “Fraaans.”"
