What about Bun B, Z-Ro, Outkast? Your gonna define the souths hip hop as a whole because of two songs on the radio?? A Tech N9ne fan should know at least a little bit about underground vs mainstream...

yes the south did kill rap!! wtf is the stanky leg and laffy taffy? most of the rappers down south only make club songs that supposely make u wonna dance and snap yo fingers!! they have no lyrics whatsoever!! the only rapper i like out the south lyrically is T.I.!! the rest is shitty to me!!
Dont forget point blank , dj screw , klondike kat the hole screwed up click ... And look at the west coast rappers that went 2 rap a lot ...... I agree with you mainne ......
who the hell cares, since when does where the artist is from effect the way music sounds... They all sound the same when they say SOUTH SIDE!! or.. EAST SIDE!!! or.. North SIDE!! u get it? why should it matter?
those 2 songs are just symbolic of what the majority of southern rappers are coming with today!! i remember back and the 90's when rap was authentic...real ghetto music!! now its gotten waaaay to commercial with all the clubbing, how much money u have and what type of car u drive! its fucking sad...and i believe the south and the east coast have a lot to do with that!!! not all, but the majority!!!

man if any one killed hiphop it was nas by saying it,thats about the only thing that ive ever co signed that came from souja boys mouth, the southern artists have given us many classics ,scarface ,paul and cham, and lets not forget probably the greatest duo of all time bruh outkast.how many artists from east, west coast and the south have face and 3 stacks in thier top 10???but really though above the solja boy and nas comment the thing that brought the mainstream industry to a fuckin meltdown was the exploitation of the culture itself not the artists.

I agree the radio is bullshit but again your trying to say thats what all artists do from what your hearing on the radio theres underground niggas and dudes from the old school down here still putting out that real street shit, spiritual shit, even political. I dont fuck with Gucci Mane, Rick Ross, etc but you cant just make generalizations and put all of us in one box.

But even east coast rappers like Kool G Rap, and Chuck D have talked about money, cars, and women, the same stuff people are knocking the south for, but yes these mainstream niggas talk about that too much though.
