It's been a minute since I've heard material from or news on Prozak. I know The Hitchcock of Hip Hop is set to drop sometime this year, but there's no definitive date and no press or anything, plus unless I'm mistaken, Prozak hasn't been on a Strange album since his own, other than "Horns" on K.O.D. I was expecting him to hook up with Lynch on his album, but nothing. Anyone know what's up?

Agreed. To call it "horrorcore" is a pretty limiting term and anyway, it's all hip-hop at the end of the day, overanalyzing every little subgenre is kinda stupid.

i choose to label it "music"
lol, you know who else raps a lot about killing people? A ton of different rappers ranging from Eminem to Ice Cube, and none of them get labeled "horrorcore." It was just a good hip-hop album. There were traditional hip-hop songs, political songs, horrorcore songs, storytelling tracks, etc. If the presence of a handful of horrorcore songs makes it a horrorcore album, then I guess the presence of Holy War makes it a political album, right? No. It was an album with a diverse range of influences like most other Strange albums. Who gives a shit what it's classified?

Tales from the sick was influenced by horror movies, which is basically what horrorcore was really about. Prozak does rap about killing people and has horror tales such as "It Was You" and "Crossing Over". To say it wasn't horrorcore would be pretty stupid then. What genre would you say it was then? traditional Hip-Hop???

Yeah, those were horrorcore for sure. I don't think Tales From the Sick was really a horrorcore album though. Had maybe a few horrorcore songs, but it also had a lot of political rap and storytelling stuff on it too. It was just a great album. I know not everyone is a fan, but I am. Hopefully he sticks with Strange but I'll still support him if he doesn't.

Prozak said on his twitter dirtball twiztid ill bill and in an interview twista is also on the album. he said that this album is the best shit he has ever done ever. He said he also has 2 albums complete besides the one he is finishing up right now. he is editing the seekers dvd and finishing it up. He has a live dvd that he is finishing also. The thing is there is no fucking release date for none of all this freshness prozak is working on.

To be honest, I dont really care what label Prozak is on, it's still Prozak. Not being on Strange doesn't mean your music will suck compared to the music which has been released on strange.

and people still doubt us when we say Prozak is not on strange anymore...

Prozak said on his twitter

"Strange or not, I'm Still Prozak"

My guess is that the Strange Days tour will be his last on Strange Music.
