Well see that's a much different statement then your original which was

"There's no purpose in it being used for recreation, no matter how many Mexicans you want to save Tie v_vMedicinal purposes or gtfo."

There is no regulation on how often Josh can go out to the bars and get shit faced and drive home

Why should there be a regulation on how much Gary wants to sit on the deck and blaze down?

There are far more Alcoholics on this planet then Stoners   And far more innocent deaths by a drunk then a crazed stoner.

That was in reply to Tie, who I've known some years, me and him are always debating shit like this lol so my wording was more casual. I don't support alcohol, and I don't support tobacco. Which I know have worse effects than marijuana. I used to be an alcoholic, so I know how bad it can be drinking. I just don't see why anybody should need to adjust the mind if they don't desperately need it. 

And I know, no hard feelings, I like debating lol

Switch the laws for alcohol and marijuanna. Id rather have lazy, dumbass stoners than aggressive, abusive alcoholics.

Alcoholism's no fun. Been there and done that. Don't want to ever again. On the other hand, I hate to see friends wasting their lives sitting on a couch smoking. Yes, they're far less likely to harm others while smoking rather than drinking. But if not controlled both can hurt the abuser enough to make it worth trying to monitor. I don't have a problem with people who smoke or drink, just be smart about it. Control the substance, don't let it control you.

This is a legit discussion everyone has good, relevant points. Siikez, I guess the point i was trying to make is that as a recreational drug it is useful.  Granted sure its nice to think people don't 'NEED' recreational substances but until the end of time people will find mind altering substances.  With that being said look at the alternative mind altering substances to choose from. Everything else from alcohol to LSD can destroy someones life, yeah some people do and will let weed become their number one priority in life but lets face it...Its not physically addictive, its not dangerous, all it would take to quit smoking weed is a little bit of Self-Drive, and Motivation.  As you probably know when an alcoholic quits drinking there are physical withdraw symptoms which is that much more incentive to have another drink.

And i just don't think the government needs to be worrying about if all Joe Blow wants to do is sit on his couch. That's his own life he is choosing to waist so i think that to legalize pot for recreational use is un-harmful.

Yeah, let's not do that.  Not all people should be punished because there's a small percentage of people that have no self-control.
