Ok right....but the score diffence was still 3 points.. like I said raiders played a solid game..but the stupid penalites are uncalled for and props there kicker....even though he drinks prolly a 12 pack a day he still gots power.

One punt return, and a fumble recovery inside the redzone was the only scoring otherwise. The front four DOMINATED!!!! and besides the penalties the O-line had a solid game. And oh ya this was in Denver, season opener, on Monday Night. The Raiders overcame all obstacles, thats what winning teams do. Run DMC-150 yards vs No-Show Moreno-28 yards!

I think its funny how after one mediocre victory over a team who last year had the worst defense in the league and where a record tying field goal ended up being the point difference in the game, all the Raiders fans start getting all hype and decide they have a winning team. Its okay to be excited about your first season opening win in the last 8 trys but its just one game. It by no means put the Raiders on the map as a title contender this year. I wont be as ignorant as the guy trying to say they will never be good again (and since he thinks they always sucked he must have just started watching football within the last few years) but when you have 15 penalties and you barely hang on for a win against the Broncos its nothing to get to exited about. Remember they gotta do this at least 7 more times to even be .500 again and with penalties being put up far more ofter than points other teams in the league wont let you get away with it

the only reason ive been saying anything was just because the Raiders beat the OP's favorite team who believes the Raiders will be the worst team in the NFL. i think the Raiders have a chance of having a decent season. i dont think anyone is overreacting...

Mmmm a lot of fans are, especially the Denver-bred Raider fans we have here... But, either way, I doubt the Raiders will do much, and while I'm a Bronco fan, that's not being said from the rivalry...

I wasnt really talking about you cause I haven't seen a post from you sayin Raider nation is back baby whooo blah,blah Im talking about a few people on here and people Ive encountered in person just most Raiders fans in general always seem to overreact lately since its been so long since they had anything legit to get excited about. I agree in the sense that they probably wont be worse than last year (.500) but contenders they are not

what's it like being an idiot and not knowing that the Raiders are won of the winningest franchises in NFL history? you must be like 16 years old and only judge based on seasons in your measly little life span...

the defense that is on the field this year for Denver is much better than last years squad. A fresh (as in first game of the season w/ a shortened offseason) B. Dawkins plus a healthy Dumerville and top draft pick Miller. Those are major improvements, so you cant really compare last years squad to this years. And the fact that they can overcome 15 penalties for 130 yards ON THE ROAD, and still win, is a major testament to the level of talent on this team.

measley is a bitch to spell and you know it. "won" was a mistype because i was thinking about all the games they've won over the years. but you are right, i shouldnt throw out the I-word and then go on to make spelling errors in a two sentence reply. Fail.

janikowski doesnt kick a record tying FG and Orton does fumble then Denver would have won the game. how many penalties did Denver have in the game?
