I consider those who create new concepts, do things which nobody has done before, play Jazz, achieve excellence in what they do and can actually play an instrument (decently) as talent.

So in hip-hop terms, I'd consider something like The Roots as talent.

As a consumer, I have every right to judge. To tell someone to not be judgemental is to take away a trait which makes us human, everyone judges. Talent is in the eyes of the beholder, and no, I wouldn't consider Jay Rock, Big Scoob or Stevie Stone talent. Then again, I am more strict with what I consider "talent" compared to others.

Damn phone... Jay rock i much deeper than your generic gangster rapper, scoob has more songs than that that are good, stone is a good emcee, u got your opinion though.  So u keep thinkin what u want

Talent like Big Scoob? "Gutta mayne, budda mayne" enough said.

Talent like Jay Rock? he's like every other generic 'gangster' rapper out there.

Stevie Stone? Nothing amazing, in fact I find him to be a total bore.

Even being fucked up on heroin can't make me enjoy the above.

At least Mayday actually play instruments, something 99% of rappers don't do and at least Brotha Lynch Hung is trying to make a good concept and be creative, something which hip-hop has a severe lack of mainly due to the fact that 99.9% of the people who make it just aren't creative and reaching out to new ideas, I don't have to pick up the next Jay Rock record to know that it'll be like the next Game record and so on.

I think saying an artist on Strange doesn't have Talent is one of the most fucked up things I've ever heard. Just because you may not like an artist, doesn't mean they aren't talented. Each individual on Strange Music brings their own thing to the table. Saying some of these artists, such as Big Scoob and Jay Rock, are generic and judging them on one song out of their whole catalog, is stupid. Look at Big Scoob's No Filter EP, and tell me that most of the lyrics on that album aren't creative. Jay Rock's Follow Me Home had it's moments where It was total G, then It's moments that make you think. Kill Or Be Killed anyone? I've always felt like Stone's style is more a Party style than anything personally. Each person on Strange brings their own style, which I love. If we had a Label full of same sounding MCs, you'd be bitching about that too.

Ok ok, was just making sure u werent gonna say icp or psychopathic

you MUST be ignorant to think that no one on psychopathic has no talent. if they didn't, how could they possily host the Gathering of the Juggalos every year for 13 running, and every year tens of thousands of people attend the Gathering?
