Out of all the true Kutt fans that support him..they can only buy so many of Kutts albums, I mean u don't wanna have 50 of the same CDs...that's why he needs to keep comin out wit new shit like tech then I guarantee he would bring all types of fans...feature presentation and raw n unkut were dope it's been awhile already

slackin my ass. if you want to get something good, you'd let them take their time. something Tech needs to learn himself. Red Headed Step Child was a treat for you guys to hold over till his next release, and that had some of his best work there, so just be patient

I can be patient but it was a little over a year after raw n unkut that he released RHSC which was fuckin dope but it's gettin to be almost another year and no signs of an album..just hope he comes out with it soon
Y is it stupi to buy copies for my friends dumb ass? I dont have to explain y i bought multiple, instead of burning them i bought em for friends at shows to get signed  not for awesome bragging rights go suck a dick

That's just stupid, Sure support your artist but multiple copies of an album serves no purpose other than your 'awesome' bragging rights.

Yea becuz they're mainstream muthafuckas that make millions off single hits so they layoff their music for a few years cuz they got money n doin shows...but kutt is complaining he's not gettin he support he deserves so that's why he needs to come hard at releasing hits and more music to get it

Damn... Someone's mad.  The way you said it made it sound like you're buying multiple copies just to buy multiple copies.  Calm down, no need to get all butt hurt because someone didn't like something you did.

I don't think he's slacking. He made a statement when he shot two videos for his EP without the help of Strange. That shows he's trying to help his own cause. And he's been working on those two mixtapes, though it's hard to know how far he's actually gotten on either of them

artists that take a few years to make new albums:

EMINEM

Immortal Technique

Jedi Mind Tricks/Vinnie Paz/AOTP

Celph Titled

Apathy

Dead Prez

Chino XL

Crooked I

CunninLynguists

Hopsin

Canibus

Ill Bill

Jean Grae

Lowkey

Pharaohe Monch

Reef The Lost Cauze

Hed P.E

D12

So many MAINSTREAM MUTHAFUCKAS right? smfh

Ummm if E-40 can drop shit out this year im pretty sure Kutt can too. Kutt is not know like Tech maybe he should promote himself diffrent, kutt just needs to push more out.

Guys like the ones we've listed have had enough of a buzz, enough fame, and enough features to hold fans over. When you have that amount of fame, you can take a year or two to make an album, and then when news drops that the album is coming, people get all excited.

However, when you're not at the top of the game, or a commonly mentioned artist, I feel you should put a little more out there in terms of either promotion, or material. Don't saturate your fans, but I don't see a problem with dropping an album once a year or so, and maybe a few features in between.

Kutts last album was June 2010.. Krizz's last album was September 2010. They'll probably switch those around. Travis said that one of the reasons Kutt isnt doin the Hostile Takeover, is cause hes gonna be prepping for his next album. Also its kinda funny to see posts like this. Cause people didnt bitch about Big Scoob taking almost 2 years to release his 2nd album. Hell, it took Tech 4 years to release another album after Absolute Power. Strange Music fans are just spoiled cause Tech usually releases 2 albums a year pretty much since he came out with Everready then MLK. Kutt has 3 other albums plus an EP the "hardcore" fans can listen to until somethin new comes out.

I'm sure Kutt Calhoun has plenty of concepts and written material to put together a full length solo LP as we speak. He can't just waltz into Travis O'Guin's office and demand he be given a release slot for the upcoming year out of the blue. There's so many different factors that contribute to an album's creation that it literally requires a more than sufficient share of the label's resources and time to be sure the process completes properly so as the release is successful. There's much more than meets the naked eye in the music industry, keep that in mind. Also you have to take into consideration how many other signed acts on Strange Music are releasing projects this year. You wouldn't want so many studio albums crammed together that they start to overshadow one another either.
