(Graphic/Big Boi's Fan Page)Big Boi fans are anxiously awaiting the release of Sir Lucious Left Foot: Son of Chico Dusty on July 6. The album was finished last fall and temporarily shelved due to leaks and Big’s move from Jive Records to Def Jam. Now it looks like there is one more obstacle on the path to the album’s release.
Some Internet media outlets are reporting that Jive Records is blocking André 3000’s contributions to the album. Most of the tracks remain intact from the original listening party at Stankonia last October. Notably absent on the newest list are, “Lookin’ For ‘Ya” and “Royal Flush” which also includes a verse from Raekwon. There is no word if André is also headed over to Def Jam.
Big dropped a message on Twitter and Facebook to assure fans that they’ll get their 3 Stacks fix on his upcoming venture.
“The André 3000 records r on deck..Stay Tuned !!!!!!!!!!!! [sic],” he said.
If nothing else, Dre will receive a production credit for his work on “You Ain’t No D.J.” featuring Yelawolf.
