he works around the clock, you slack off with lots of time to rest.
but im pretty sure thats not what he was trying to get at with nocturnal rainbows. the verses are all about trying your best.. but the nocturnal rainbows thing is all about the darkness providing the light for him.. like he says.

i get it. the opposite end, i'm listening to the darkness for my light, knowing i'm not the only one. he is displaying that darkness to enable a light, he isn't the only one.
