Yeah I loved 24deep. Thought the best track was Had 2Gat ya. And Season was on a whole other level with the skits about the phone call and inhalin with the devil..shit reminded me alot of E1999 Eternal but even harder. Rest In Piss,Loc2da Brain,Welcome to your own Death. That year was hard as fuck for all of Garden Blocc Sacramento. X-Raided did Xorcist. C-Bo did Gas Chamber. The hardest realest shit that ever came out in Gangsta rap history came out of Sac in 95.
But really I was more of a Loaded fan myself. The album was just a masterpiece. You can tell they went back in on that album polishing and touchin up..I've never heard an album that just smoothed together from song to song..it was just like one pooled together puddle of gold.. Even when I look at my original copy I'll hold the cd to the light and it has this oily film like it's just dripping dope shit.. Loaded has more replay value in my ears than any other album I've ever owned.
Too bad it so dated now but when this shit dropped..Lynch was as popular as Tech without the Internet.
Than he kept dropping jewels like Refuce to Lose and West Coast Parlae..he just seemed to keep getting better..you could tell he was real talent not just the next guy rappin. Than I went back in and collect all his features and it was like this dude jus had an endless catalogue of destruction on anything else that anyone was eer putting out at the time.
Master P tried signin him at the peak of No Limit.
Snoop tried signing him.
Than he got fucking robbed for what was soppose to be the illest gangsta rap album in history. EBK4. He was never paid for Loaded or Season. Than EBK was put out early, stolen and unfinished. And even the stolen version that was put out was stolen of tracks that were later placed on as many albums as the thief could stretch out with what he stole.
Than after that it's history.
Since than Lynch put out Lynch by Inch and it was a total change. It was depressing and emo compared to his earlier work when he sounded so...un dominated.
Ever since he's went from targeting the West Coast gangsta crowd to appealing to the trendy Midwest suberb fans.
Lynch should be fucking rich and in Tech's position. But years and fucking years of bad luck has left him doin wutever it takes to pay the bills.
Lynch truely is the greatest disappointment ever. But some of us have not forgotten. I just hope that one day he gets the credit he deserves.
