What i do is open the file and click each individual song and it shows up on my itunes

u go to itunes then at the top u click on "file" scroll down to "add folder to library" it'll pop up ur music stuff.. and u click the folder u made for irvs music. then it'll load them songs in. then u click ur ipods name thing or "sync" and it'll load them songs onto ur ipod!!! if there is a faster easier way then idk.. but this is how i do mines all the time to get my own songs on it.

it wont even let me open the file. whenever i click on it to open it itunes just pops up. but nothing starts playing and its not added to my library
