Being the best UK rap artist is like being the smartest kid in the special ed class. If you really think this kid is one of the "best artists period," then you know dick about music.

I'm British as well.. but it doesn't matter what part of the world you come from, its about appreciating good music, and this just happens to be the best UK artist around, one of the best period!

It must suck even worse liking terrible music but being that you're British I can understand why it may appeal more to you than me.

Man, for real I like most of what you say on here so I'm not going to go out you like some maniac but I think this shit is garbage. It's some half cocked idiot going offon some shit way deeper than he could ever understand. Cool if you like him and all but i just think everything about him is garbage.

I don't even get how you could say this is terrible music. I could understand if you didn't like it, but to say it's terrible... what the fuck. Hes definately a skilled rapper, his content, even if its not something you'd listen to, can't be faulted. I call bullshit hater hahaha

lowkey, he is talented as a motherfucker and intelligent as an chinese kungfu master. nuff said
Safe for that man, same to you, but I think that if you really believe that, you should listen to more of lowkeys music and all the other non-music things hes done. He's a lot more aware than you think he is. If you still believe that, then thats cool, you can think what you want haha. And I gotta say something to what you said up there ^^^, you need to listen to more UK music seriously. UK hip hop is far from hip hops demented little brother, there are a lot of talented artists over here, they just don't get the same amount of exposure yours do, even compared to some of the underground artists. I know theres a bit of cutural difference, and accents and that, but you should still be able to respect talent even if you wouldn't listen to it.

Fair enough. Give me some UK suggestions and I will definitely check them out. I will also give some other Lowkey stuff a chance if you point me in the right direction but if it is all political, bashing the system stuff I probably won't like it becasue to me that stuff gets old really fast.

some dope UK artists i've gotten into a bit

Logic

Klashnekoff

a little of Wretch 32

Some dope Lowkey tracks:

Relatives Feat. Logic

I'm Back

Something Wonderful

Obama Nation

Terrorist?

License To Kill

Cradle Of Cvilization Feat. Mai Khalil

Yea to be honest there isn't a lot of great UK artists around

Not a huge Wretch fan though, but some other artists i'd check is:

Kano

Ghetts

Roots Manuva

Foreign Beggers

Akala

The UK and other European countries have stayed true to hip-hop and its roots helluva lot more than the US has. Depending on where you're at, rap music videos still have b-boys and graffiti. You're everyday rapper is an actual emcee, not some shithead who wrote a catchy hook about lollipops. Here, in the US, we're lucky if we find a dope emcee like that doing it big. Most of the best emcees today are far from mainstream.
I don't know, I'm gonna have to disagree with you on that one, especially the UK side of it, being from there a lot of the artists that start out underground, who are grimey and extremely talented, once they get a bit of fame outside of the underground scene go pop, that is one of the biggest reasons I only listen to a select few here, but there are a lot of artists that do stay true to there roots and the roots of hip hop culture
