finally listened to it. its....different. extremely different. not really sure what genre it falls into. i love the concept of the album, the whole apocalypse thing. the mass amount of interludes flow well with the album, but thats also a downside to the album. its definitely an album that is meant to be played from start to finish and not individually by song. i like all the songs on the album, some more than others. wretches and kings and the catalyst are definite stand outs. its hard to compare this album to their past albums since it is completely different in every way. we'll see how long this stays in rotation for me. hard to decide after the first few listens
Thats kinda how I felt the first time I listened to it. But man, I fuckin love it now. Blows away M2M. I've played it pretty much every day for the past 2 weeks, probably my album of the year so far. One complaint I have though is I wish there were more songs. Only 9 songs. Waiting for the End is prob. my fav from the album, love it.

Same man, i keep just getting an urge to press play again and again. most of that urge is probably just from the fact that since LP takes so long to get albums out that when they finally do, im just so thankful haha. Its definitely a better overall album than M2M. but its really hard to even compare it to past albums since its just so unique genre-wise.

barely beat out Trey Songs for the #1 spot this week

1 - LINKIN PARK, WARNER BROS., 253,685, "A THOUSAND SUNS"
2 - TREY SONGZ, ATLANTIC, 244,103, "PASSION PAIN & PLEASURE"

kind of sad, considering M2M sold like 650,000 its first week
It's definitly unique. "Wretches & Kings" is the stand out too me. The only downfall for me is all the interludes. I usually listen to my music on random, and the interludes don't mix inbetween a Tech song and a Metallica song, hahaha, you know? I ended up deleting them all from my iTunes. Overall though, a 9 out of 10 for me. And, Cole, I don't know how you do it man, the singer of Avenged Sevenfolds' voice is brutal! Props if you can deal with it man, because I sure as shit can't. And from what I hear about "Nightmare" it's a shame that I can't deal, hahaha.

I just listened to this album a couple of days ago. I loved it. It is so much better listening right through than it is picking out individual tracks to listen to.

2.Iridescent
3.Blackout
4.Wretches and Kings
5.When They Come For Me
6.Robot Boy
7.The Catalyst
