How do I put this without offending the die hard fans..?
Tech is really selling the fuck out at this point in time. It's getting to be painful.
People seem to have this same approach when all Mixed Plate and 6's n 7's came out.
But I defended what I thought was a smart move for buisness. You see I don't mind him working with Wayne or T-Pain ect because Major or Indie if your dope your dope and Tech is the Collab Master. I actually enjoy that an indie artist can finally do that. Only a select few have reached that plateau. I thought 6's n 7's sounded a little mainstream in area's but it still sounded good! Plus it also had that real Tech shit and some rock type shit. I loved the diversity.
Than he did WTSL back on some Indie shit..I actually liked 6n7's more..
But than he dropped Klusterfuk which the majority of most of the fans I seen on here thought was pretty disapointing..but still I thought "ok cool, he's trying to raise the bar and think outside the box" lord knows Tech is the man when it comes to diversity and good idea's with music. So I said not really my shit..probably the most disappointing release from Tech i've ever heard but I like the idea of it even if it's not my forte.
But than he did E.B.A.H. And this is just a fuckin sloppy pile of sellout shit. Seriously don't tweet this? And the beat couldn't be more perfect for the title. Just that real mainstream fucking garbage. It was so bad I cringed. Than I heard the rest of the album..with the exception of maybe "A Real One" (which still wasn't great) i've never been..disgusted with any of Tech's records but this was like watching someone kick a baby across the room. And yeah it's just an E.P. Right? Well so was Seepage and Lost Scripts which were still dope despite a lack of effort on tracks like Harvy Dent...but even than the track was still dope. But the last two shit's that Tech has dropped is crap and E.B.A.H. Is just SELLTHEFUCKOUTBULLSHIT. like really who bumps that shit? I'll tell you who. Retards who can't think for themselves or have any taste and are forcefed shit like Soulja Boy and think it's cool because everyone is playing it. And it's all just the mainstream machine pushin bullshit and nobody argue's it because 1 person with taste still can't hold a debate against 10 mindless idiots. Isn't that what Earegular is soppose to be all about? Than were fed "Don't tweet this?" WTF? I know I'm carrying on. If you have any insight please lace me up. I hope not to be slandered and insulted. I don't mean to offend.

Actually that is exactly the case with these EPs. He was gonna release an LP but decided to push back for better quality and release these EPs to give the fans new music to hold them over. Yes u are right in the cases of Lost Scripts and Seepage but Klusterfuk also was a separate project that had nothing to do with scrap songs or beats for an album

Lol at you thinking you got everything all figured out.  EP is not actually something an artist puts out to give fans more music while they work on a project.  An EP was originally the Tracks that didn't make the album and or Beats that were purchased for the album and didn't get used.  Another part of your post you might need clarification on is typically is isn't the same group people complaining for all those different reasons.  Its different people complaining for one single different reason.  For example the people who are currently complaining are dissatisfied with the current quality of his music we would all rather he took his time and made good music....and then somebody else might complain that he is taking too long when he is putting out better quality music.  Just some things to keep in mind while you continue to think you have everything all figured out...

Do you guys understand the point of an artist making a mixtape and or EP. It is to give the fans more music while they work on their new project. Maybe you should tell Tech to stop, but then again you probably would complain that he isn't putting out new music fast enough. Its a big circle with you people. He takes time too perfect his album, he is isn't putting out enough music in time. He starts writing his life and the what mood he is in, its not dark enough. I would hope that Tech isn't a manic depressant, that there are other sides to his life. And how can a person who is on his own label, with no major label backing him be selling out. WTF!!!! I don't like all of Tech's songs, mostly because they are not my taste. I wish he would write something different then about sex, but maybe he is getting alot? Who knows. I personal do not want to wait for his LP to come out to get new music, so I am happy. Every artist on strange has done either a mixtape or Ep by the way. Oh Harvey Dent was on the gates mix plate, by the way.

Thank you to everyone who responded, even if I was insulted. I try to respect all point of views for a higher understanding. I also don't mind to much slander for the fact I respect someone who is passionate with thier words and this is simply a message board.

So let me adress a few things mentioned.

I know I may be over reacting.

This is do to the fact that anytime I've ever seen a rapper I was a fan of on an independent level strat to get thier dues and recognition on a major scale they always seemed to be pushed to make that commercial bullshit and they fall of badly.

Let me give you a few examples.

Twista. I've been a major fan of this man since the Po' Pimp-Adrenaline Rush days. He always killed every feature he was ever on on always came with dope beats and just good rap. Than as soon as he's signed He does songs like "Give It Up" Gucci,Louis,Prada,Birthday,Badunkadunk.

Master P and No Limit. Self Explanatory.

Yelawolf did it with RadioActive, even tho it still had tracks that were dope he tried doin that Radio shit and the songs I heard off PhsycoWhite don't sond any better.

Three6Mafia - I Loved Triple6 in the days of The End,World Domination,Prophet Posse. Soon as they blew up it was Sippin on sizzurp,Loddi Lolli,Bands a Make Her Dance.

50Cent - From Get Rich or Die Tryin to The Candy Shop.

Snoop- Gin and Juice to Beautiful and now Snoop Lion.

The Game. His first Couple album were pretty dope. Now he dresses like Lil Wayne and ruins Classics.

Bone Thugs - From Creepin,1999E and Even Art of War to singing in every track about praying and acting like they lost their backbone (Not saying I don't pray)

C-Bo - Albums like Gas Chamber,Tales From The Crypt,Autopsy...to album where he sounds like he lost his effort for wordplay and his testosterones gone.

Mystikal - Listen to the verses he did on GhettoD. Listen to Unpredictable. Listen to all the features he killed. Than as soon as he got recognition...Shake your Ass comes out..

And as much as I hate to say it...

The Brotha Lynch Hung. Anyone who is a Lynch fan from before Strange will tell you that since he signed his albums are nothing compared to what they use to be when they first came out. Really even before Strange. Ever since LBI...

Like Tech his wordplay and lyrical "tricks" are still dope catchy as ever but the albums are all just slapped together and pushed out like fast food when before you could tell he took time like marinating his material and made it extremely detailed to the last sound that it would take you 10plays to even catch. SeasonOfDaSicc,Loaded,All the features he murdered,All the exclusive tracks on Compilations that would be better than anything else on the CD,Everything he did on If TheseWalls Could Talk and SMoke Inhalation Blood Sweat and Tears. The Mann could produce his ass off as well as outspit anyone like Babe Ruth could pitch and hit. Lynch was...the most unique.

Well now here comes Tech..with the all time most consistancy of any rapper ever. The man who is soppose to be like Fuck The Industry doin tracks like that. And quite frankly it just hurts a bit. And now Kutt's rappin about Bottles,Ces Cru 13 was just full of that type of shit...I mean it just seems to all be goin in that direction...and to me Tech is like the last of the Dying Breed. He was like the last one left who hadn't sold out and it's like fuck here it comes.

I like the thought of Tech takin control of the mainstream and doing mainstream songs...as long as they're still good.

For example. I liked tracks like Curios,Am I a Psyco,This is HipHop..I liked the rock shit he did at the end of 6's n

7's. I liked alot of the Mixplate that people didn't. I liked alot od tracks on Killer that people didn't.

You see I don't care if he makes party shit, mainstream shit, emotional shit, party shit. It doesn't matter.

Just as long as it's still dope.

So for the man who says i'm hating and it's above my head..you see my reason for hate. And it may be above my head but I doubt it. I think I'm callin it pretty spot on.

For those who say it's stupid to make an assumption of EP's and that the good shit saved for the albums. Let's hope that's the case and I don't doubt that you may be right...but his other EP's didn't sound like shit did they?

If you think my point of view is still stupid with the explanation I just provided, than I don't know I guess it's just stupid to you. If you care to clarify please do.

I don't care if Tech's on iTunes,Mtv,BET,commercials. I hope for it. Lord knows he is the hardest working man in the game probably eever and deserves every bit of it, not to mention he is the most talented and has the perfect drive ethic to be the man to be so.

I agree with some of the OP, i don't necessarily consider it to be selling out, as much as just running out of material to write about.  There are two types of fans on this website, The Realistic Fan who has no fear expressing discrepancies with their artists work.  And the Dick Riders, who will defend their artist to the grave for reasons unknown...possibly not wanting to hurt their artists feelings? A chance to be noticed by their artist as a true fan?  Dick Riders also seem to become offended easily with the realistic fans and often respond with pussy ass posts like "hey, why can't you just enjoy the music instead of complaining" as if all you have to do is simply shut up and listen to the shitty music and it magically gets better. lol

^^^^ Maybe the realist shit posted on this board in a while.

Shouts to Chief,Weiss and all who keep it 100 without just blatently spouting off nonsensical hate.

Tech is not even close to the last of people doing real shit. The underground is full of it. Immortal Technique? Chino XL just dropped a gem on us this week. Jedi Mind Tricks/AOTP, Apathy, Reef the Lost Cauze, Celph Titled, etc. Killah Priest. Ill Bill/La Coka Nostra. Mos Def. Atmosphere. Brother Ali's recent album was another gem. Common. CunninLynguists. The list is endless man, you just need to look for it.

That said, Lupe Fiasco's recent album I think is a perfect example of rebounding. Everyone said Lasers sucked, I personally thought it was just ok at best. With his recent album, I found it extremely well crafted. Like when Tech went and did TGMP, everyone said he sold out and fell off, then he put out All 6s &7s, which was an improvement, and anyone who thinks otherwise should be slapped. Then WTSL, which was also a solid album, and some people here think another improvement. These EPs aren't an indicator of anything. It's just a smaller portion of Tech shit that we've heard before. Some worked, some didn't.

I rather have albums too, but I think it's a TERRIBLE representation of an artist falling off, through a few EPs he put out that were rushed anyways. This debate will continue through Boiling Point's release as well, but I'm going to reserve judgement when he puts out another couple of full LPs.

lol at ppl saying that techs music is over anyones head. ya. maybe shit like sinister tech mad confusion etc. dont tweet this is not over my head. its retarded. Aesop rock is over peoples head. Tech n9ne is selling out. period

you really need to check out rhymesayers, living legends crew, heiroglypics etc. theres tons of doper emcees then tech that arent anywhere close to selling out.

Just as tie said, seriously, Chino XL dropped one of the best albums of the year imo. Just grabbed that shit, don't need to skip a song. Tech has never been hella lyrical, I think Tech has always been a style master, and that's what's made him so appealing.

fail fail fail

How is Tech changing his style to conform? By making party song you DON'T like? Guess what? I hate Bout to Bubble, and Night/Day, and a lot of his party music, with some exceptions. But I'm not going to cry that he made some shitty party tracks

You're points are saying he's losing his touch. You claimed however, that he SOLD OUT. PERIOD. There's a huge difference between the two. And in the past 3-5 years?  K.O.D is probably my favorite Tech album to date, the only dispute i have is if 6&7s is better. Sickology was a respectable album, better than MLK in my opinion. Of course there was the TGMP, but he also put out Welcome to Strangeland, which I think is the best collabos to date. His EPs are mixed, Lost Scripts was dope, Seepage was dope. Klusterfuk was eh but I thought E.B.A.H was a small step up, if that means anything.

Point is, you can make the argument that Tech is going downhill, though I'd need to allow for more time to see if that's true, but you CAN'T make the point that Tech is 'selling out.' There's nothing that indicates that. A few mediocre party tracks isn't selling out at all. When Tech says he writes about his life, unfortunately he does it in a very literal sense, so that's why tracks like Don't Tweet This exist.
