since they are made for eps.
Permalink Reply by ЖĭϞϬ ƦΔϟŦԃ on October 31, 2011 at 5:01am Tech N9ne Collabos. Tech N9ne Collaborations. Welcome to Strangeland does not = Strange Collabos. That's why Tech is on every song. You're copying and pasting the same argument from two or three threads you fuck.
Young Bleed released a Strange Music debut LP. His music videos were also pretty low budget, they just had nicer cameras.
Kaliko has a shitload of mainstream/cross-over appeal, he's extremely multi-talented, he's unique, he's Tech's writing partner.
Before anybody brings up Jay Rock's promotion and numerous videos, he was also a new up-and-coming artist coming to the label, releasing not only his Strange debut, but his first official album that has been years in the making. I think his squad filmed the videos as well.
Tech has never released a video for an EP. Kaliko only recently released his first EP, which also had no video. Probably because it's not worth investing a moderately large budget for a small release such as a 5 or 6 track EP available online only.
As Cole said, the videos are lower quality because it's an EP. And whoever said that Kutty did these for his fans got it right. Strange probably didn't want to invest in two or even one video, but Kutt wanted fans to have something. You bitch that Kutt doesn't get videos or anything, and then when him and crew personally put TWO videos together for YOU, all you can do is bitch. Be grateful fuckers.
Permalink Reply by ЖĭϞϬ ƦΔϟŦԃ on October 31, 2011 at 5:05am And yes, of course there is "favoritism" toward Tech on Strange. He runs that shit. He started that shit. Tech N9ne as a brand, is Strange's number one priority. He's selling the most merchandise, he's selling the most records, he's getting the most attention from everybody. Does Lil Wayne get favoritism on Young Money? And some, like Nicki and Drake get favored over others like Tyga? Does Sage Francis get favoritism on Strange Famous? Does ICP (generally) get favoritism on Psychopathic? And some, like Twiztid get favored over others like ABK?
Holy shit, sorry n' shit, but shit.

Permalink Reply by ЖĭϞϬ ƦΔϟŦԃ on October 31, 2011 at 3:04pm I understand what you're saying about Strange linking the videos, but Strange isn't gonna make a point to promote these videos because they're videos for the core fans. We already know about it. We'll spread the word. That's the point.
But about the Scoob thing...Scoob is not a big name on Strange, just a big man. Face it, nobody is buying tickets to a Strange Music tour just to see Scoob and then bouncing. He doesn't sell all that much because honestly, I don't think he's that good. And I know I am not the minority on that one. Even though WWC may have stolen some of Scoob's thunder, Tech made a point to shoutout Scoob and hype up his release. As big as WWC was, a lot of people who tuned in for that heard Tech talking about Scoob. It's not like Scoob's sales would have skyrocketed had Tech not released WWC that day. It wouldn't have made a difference. As for No Filter being delayed and then released...Scoob is dying, literally. I don't think he gives a shit about his EP or anything like that, I think he's trying to be with his wife and kids.

It costs virtually nothing to promote online. At least link the videos from the strange site and youtube, post a blog about it, something. The only promotion I've seen for these videos is by fans.
And it is just my opinion that the rest of strange suffers from weaker promotion than tech. On the day damn fool released tech announced wwc would release online, effectively stealing all the attention. what were people talking about online that week, scoobs disc or wwc? Then no filter is delayed and then released out of the blue with barely a word about it. I love strange, it just feels like they could do more for their other artists. I'm not copying and pasting, just reiterating.
My misconception of strangeland was my fault. I thought it was going to be like strictly strange 08 or strange days, with collabs across the board. I imagined more verses from the rest of strange. It is a phenominal album as is, I just got my hopes up for more of the other strangers. Can't wait for the bonus tracks though, day one purchase.
I'm not trying to get into an internet battle, just posting my opinion. I'm glad kutts got some new vids, and I think it is up to us to promote them since it doesn't seem as if strange is going to.
