I felt like this required it's own thread, so sorry if it's annoying. I think that the MUSIC in Klusterfuk was great, and enjoyed it alot. But my overall thoughts of the EP are hampered by the excessive amount of talking throughout it.

4 out of the 6 songs have talking spots on them. There is a total of 3:37 of talking parts on this EP. That equals an entire song, or more likely for an EP another few verses. I think this is a big sign that this EP was rushed, or even somewhat incomplete. Compare it to This Is Hop-Hip from A6&7s. Tech didn't put it on the album because Pharoahe Monch was unable to get his verse on it for whatever reason. So what'd they do? Instead of trashing a good song that already had a verse from Lynch on it, they filled that empty spot with Tech talking.

I feel maybe Tech knew he only had so much time to finish this thing before he would have had to delay it again, so instead he decided to do it in 4 days and throw in some filler bits to complete tracks that either had a missing feature (ex. Citizen Cope) or he just didn't have time to write another verse or something. I'm not saying that in a hating manner, I just think that may have been the case.

Thoughts? Feel free to throw up a TL:DR.

I think the most dissapointing thing for me is the girl talking in Klusterfuck. I just felt like that beat and techs flow on it was so dope and then that stupid spoken word shit starts and just ruins it. It had the potention IMO with another verse to be one of the sickest songs tech has put out in years but the talking brings it down. I cant really stand the chorus in Cant stand me. DKNY is just pure shit to me, the retarded meaningless rant, the stupid voice effect, Kaliko's verse sounding even worse with the effect. Its was a pretty cool beat but was ultimately wasted. Ugly Duckling is nothing special to me, dont hate it dont love it either probably will never really listen to it as time goes on. Akward was another amazing track that as everyone has stated just falls into an akward place of its own at the end. What I dont get is why does everyone hates Blur so much. Its not the most original song and the beat is simple but it hits hard as fuck and I think it sounds cool. I guess I just like to party too much because it reminds me of how I feel after far too many nights lol

Yeah I checked 'n they did do that for WTS, hmm.... strange

It's definitely an odd change. I think the WTSL album might be the same thing if you're going to look for it.

Really? this is the first time I've ever seen them do that, there's a pretty big difference between writing a song and producing it. I'll have to look through some of the other booklets 'n see. I mean, I don't doubt that Tech wrote 100% of the lyrics, and it makes sense considering Wrek is credited on the tracks he produced, Plex his tracks, etc. I just find it odd they'd do that.

Tech wrote the tracks after coming back from Australia. Mayday wasn't with him.

These days, Strange Music booklets credit the producers with writing. Well, most album credits include that now, it doesn't mean they wrote the song.

THE WHOLE CD IS RAW AS FUCK AND ITS REAL....I LOVED IT AND CANT WAIT FOR HIS NEXT LP!!

Well i will never play the damn album ever can't stand it and i'm not saying that in a hating manner either. Tech's whole Career's been rushed since everready.

Klusterfuk was wrecked cause of the chick. Wouldve been one of his best if it wasnt for that skit.
