Alright, I understand what people are saying about my comment, But let me say this. The other EP's were tracks left off the album, that never made the final cut from the album before it. Tech created this original, just to give the fans some fresh material and you gotta respect that. I like all the songs but didn't like the talking parts on awkward and klusterfuk be he poured his heart out and it was catchy and i respect that. Also I wanna mention that aqualio head some great verses. What do you guys think?

wrong. You might have a point if we never knew it was rushed would we all say it sounded rushed? that's debatable i think, but whether it's on an EP or LP shouldn't make a difference, to me at least, it'd be filler either way. and I hate when people say shit like "Try writing those lyrics" or "bet you couldn't do it" that's a completely irrelevant point, if someone said "Man, EVEN I could do that" then ok, but no one said that. People said the same thing when I said that the beat for Blur was fairly simple, I got a lot of "Ohh yeah? let's see you make it then asshole", it's like, first off, I'm not a producer and never did I claim to be, second, simple isn't always bad, I just thought the beat was bland, you don't need to be an expert at something to criticize it.

And personally, the fact ¡Mayday! did the production made me like it more, I generally love ¡Mayday!'s production. Tech writing it in 4 days doesn't necessarily make it impressive, if it came out better then yeah, but since I consider it sloppy, to me, it's not something to be proud of. Just like when Snoop said on Pornographic "Took a minute just to write this", that's not a good thing if it came out shitty.

Don't get me wrong, I think a lot of people don't understand hindsight bias, it's easy to say after the fact "nahh, I'd still have the same opinion" which is why I think it's possible that if we were told it took him 2 weeks, maybe some people would react differently, on the other hand, maybe that'd make people dislike it more, seeing as how he had 2 weeks and this is all we got out of it, but that's not the case. And the fact he made it to #1 on Itunes is somewhat irrelevant too imo, I'm sure I'm not the only one who had faith Tech would put out a great EP 'n pre-ordered without even thinking, sure, it was worth the money 'n I would've bought it anyway, but that's the problem without listening to something before u buy it, and I'm sure people did that on Itunes as well, see "Tech N9ne" 'n go "ohh shit, I gotta get this". I think it's great he hit #1, but I'm not sure how that ties into everything else, maybe you can explain it to me. But next time, you should probably stay away from blanket statements like your LP & time comments

W.e people this ep was sick. Try writing those lyrics and rap at tech's pace in just 4 days and make it to #1 on itunes. Best ep he had put out to date. If these songs were on an LP everyone would have a different opinion. Plus if u guys never knew it was done in 4 days and by mayday u all would have loved it.

He spoke on interviews about how he was going in a different direction with this EP. He said his some fans were gonna hate it and some were gonna like it. Looks like there aren't many people in the middle, looks like a love it or hate it scenario.

matt meyer said:

i thought the production on the EP was fantastic. i think mayday delivered on their half of the work, but it was tech that let me down.

ohh of course I respect for that, he didn't have to give us more music at all. He knew he only had a couple days to write and record and he could've easily said "shit man, maybe I'll miss this one 'n get it at a later time" so of course I admire 'n respect that about Tech, I just don't think it worked well this time around. I liked Aqualeo's verses, 'n as much as I appreciate when an artist is heartfelt or being real with their audience, that doesn't automatically make it great or good. Everyone's got their own opinion on Klusterfuk 'n like I said, I think it's worth the money but out of his EPs I'm already kinda over half of the EP already, while I can still go back to his other 2 and listen to at least 4 of the 5 songs on each of them 'n enjoy them. Everyone experiences music differently I guess

Ya I hear ya. Maybe we can't all agree on klusterfuk but were all Technicians and have to agree that his Stage performance on the Hostile Takeover Tour was off the chain. That dude can kill live shit.

well I'm going this Wednesday to see him, but I saw him last year on the A6A7 tour and Tech certainly didn't disappoint, ¡Mayday!, Stevie Stone and Kutt were awesome too

Klusterfuk - GREAT song up until the bitch had to tell her little story.
Blur - Kinda boring, but still catchy.
Can't Stand Me - Good, catchy chorus. Overall good song.
Ugly Duckling - My favorite, awesome song.
Awkward - Great chorus, and great song. Up until Tech tells his story..
DKNY - Intro was annoying. But besides that another good song.

Production was great on every single one.
The talking parts ruined Klusterfuk..

great EP for sure but yeah the talking was an annoyance.

By far his worst to date. Except Celcius of course.

It's a big annoyance for me sorry to say. It's hard to listen to the whole EP beginning to end.

yeah, I loved last year a lot so I know this year will be great too. I didn't get VIP this go around though I'd like to, hopefully next year. I am gonna get there early though, probably around 4 or so because I've seen people say that the artists can be seen in the area 'n what not before the shows, so I'll try 'n catch a few of 'em
