It's probably a special deal Strange makes with iTunes. You have to remember they are trying to maintain a business.

Agreed that they have to run a business but as a fan I kinda feel like I'm getting fucked in the ass whenever they put bonus tracks on iTunes or on Best Buy CD's. I think since the tracks were done before the album you should get them with your pre-order otherwise your not really getting the whole album per se IMHO.

If you buy the album, download the bonus tracks you didnt get. I don't get why this is such a hard concept.

Stores like Best Buy, FYE, iTunes, etc. pay for the exclusive rights to songs to offer as bonus tracks. They do this so it attracts customers to buy the album from their store as opposed to other stores. I'm sure Strange can't legally give those songs away after they are put on other stores exclusive versions, because that would defeat the whole purpose. So that's why it's a good thing for Strange and why most upcoming albums will be like this. So you're gonna have to get used to downloading the other bonus tracks, or wasting money on buying different versions of the same album.
