Permalink Reply by ЖĭϞϬ ƦΔϟŦԃ on July 25, 2011 at 10:58pm No, dumbass. You're ignorant. It's one thing to pay for advertisements and air time. Yes, anybody can do that with the right dough. That's advertising. Strange pays for this website, it pays for ads in the Source, it pays for the merchandise, etc. This is all a form of advertising. There's nothing "mainstream" about that. What Twizzler is saying, is Tech won't pay the "execs" at MTV and BET to put his music videos into rotation. He isn't going to pay radio stations to put his singles in rotation. He'll pay for airtime for advertisements, but not for people to play his music.

Permalink Reply by Dukecityspecialist on July 26, 2011 at 1:09am these days, i dont thinks theres much of a mainstream or underground. its all kind of molding together. slowly. the mainstream cant really play like tech aint there anymore.
p.s. ever since everready, i bin knowin tech would eventually literaly HAVE ta do a song wit lil wayne. and then get into the mainstream fan base (not "go mainstream"). with all the hype about lil wayne vs. tech bein the best rapper alive. who really were the top most debated, regaurdless of what people might say. (u cant deny that they were the most argued about. all opinions aside)

no doubt. Someone made a good point on here a couple of years ago. With all the mediums used now a days to market such as youtube facebook and myspace it isnt as hard to find new artists anymore. All u have to do is log on. Underground really isn't underground anymore. Its independant. Tech is indie not underground nor is he mainstream imo

Oh you mean the local artists who don't get played on the radio, or just the ones who don't show Tech love?
