I mean, Iv'e always wondered this, and I know in interviews he won't talk about religion or politics. Is he? I mean he sounds aethiest as hell in Hope for a Higher Power, saying "hope you mystical magical works.." or some shit like that, but then you got the intro to Everready where after the car crash he's thanking god for being in his grace n shit. What's your take?

You need to learn how to spell.  I came back to this thread because FANS just popped up in my playlist and the line "just the microphone and GOD" stood out, showing that Tech was acknowledging GOD as a H.S. senior.

You kids on this site are a trip and not very knowledgeable when it comes to these things. Tech's mother attends or attended a non-denominational almost Pentecostal-like Church. And catholicism cannot be the original form of Christianity because it didn't appear until after Christ's death.

Let's add this lyric to the list.

God is so good for givin’ me music, liftin’ getting’ me through, when I was fixin’ to lose it.

"I Love Music"  ~ Tech N9ne

Has anyone ever considered that when Tech speaks of "God" or the "Devil" for that matter, he does so metaphorically & not literally? Granted we can all say at the very least that he has his doubts about the existence of a biblical God yet instead defines God as his strength & ability to overcome hardships & obstacles on his own accord.

I read this somewhere though I can't recall exactly where, but I found it quite hilarious:

Tech's Conversation With God

Tech: "Hello God"

God: "Hello Tech"

Tech: "Why the fuck am I talking to myself"

http://www.guardian.co.uk/music/2009/nov/05/tech-n9ne-interview He states right in this hes a christian.

He makes a lot of references about god, so I would assume he believes in god. In Hope for a Higher Power the point of the song, to me, is that if man is wrong and there is no god, then everyone should prepare to protect themselves and their loved ones. I consider myself to be christian, but it's not unreasonable to have doubts. Since there is no real proof all we can do is hope.

yes

His mom is christian and his step dad was muslim. and so he had all that opposing visions colliding and making him a "Klusterfuck". I would say he's undecided, end discussion.

like redtom said, he does make a lot of references to god, which would lead us to believe he believes in god. As to being a follower of god, id have to say no. he probably breaks the 10 commandments every 10 days, and thats just for starters. i dont feel the need to elaborate any more on this issues. believing there is a god is not the same as following god.

and for those of you who say your christian, the word means to be like christ. not a church goer, or just a believer but actually like christ. the term seems to be thrown around loosely as if anyone who can spell BIBLE is christian

simply put, tech n9ne is a klusterfuck.

'I mixed up all the stuff religion had to offer, boiled it in a cauldron, until the bullshit burned off....all that was left was Love"

This makes sense to be since he grew up in a household of 2 different religions, all they would do is conflict each other so the only other logical thing for him to do would be to find something in common and 'Love' was probably it.
