Ill rephrase what im saying so that me n u might b able to have a conversation without hostility, yes u are entitled to your opinion and its fine that u let artists know your opinion but at the same time u dont have to b a dick about it. U can criticize someones work wothout being a complete jerk but u i see have failed to realize this, lets see u put alot of wprk into something and tell me how u feel when someone says o well that aint shit. For someone like irv who is known to the masses mainly by his affiliation with strange to get 200,000 views is alot and artists cover songs all the time, he wrote comepletely different lyrics to the hook which most of the black and yellow covers only change the colors being talked about, you could have easily made your point without being an asshole about it. Idk what your problem is but you always have negative shit to say about everything

Quemical, im gonna have to agree with you on this one. IMO irv was outa line. and what you say is true. i LOVE irv dont get me wrong i think he has amazing talent. he can spit and flow and sing, the whole 9 yeards. but man you throw your opinion out and he bashes you like that yeah he IS in the wrong game for real. 20,000 views is decent, but not for a song based off a large hit like you said, i dont see high amounts of views on his other songs or videos. he is barly known he is comin up still. he cant expect to be a tech n9ne when he first comes out.

I've met Irv a few times at signings and after shows, and I don't think he ever acted like a diva...if anything he was very appreciative to his fans...just let the man be who he wants to be, if he's a dick, it will show and he will lose fans in the end.

Quemical, I know what you're saying. I did my research into what you said and I do agree with you. Let's be frank: a remix = spin off (or thereabouts) and therefore will garner more views. So it's not really a surprise that Phenom got 200k+ views for a remix of a song with millions of views. If it was an original song with said views, DWAMN that would have been sick.

However, I think you should put yourself in his shoes. His videos are getting a few k views on average. To see his "Red And Yellow" video with 200k+ views is a real big thing for him. You could say it's one more stepping stone to getting big in the industry. I don' think there's any need to call him out like that. I would let him have a few bragging rights for the views, even if it isn't an original song.

Though if he was acting all "Hollywood"... hmm then Phenom, even if the top cats in the game act all "Hollywood", they finna fall. Too $hort said it, and he's one of them cats. Just remember that. Much love doe.

He is not getting all those views because all of a sudden, ppl are into Irv Da Phenom, or Getting Buzz. It's because he is picking back riding off the success of Black and Yellow.

 

And i don't get what he is so mad at. The Messages were not even Sent His way. I Guess he goes and Searches for his name or something, Which would make him even extra Lame.

yes, an artist shouldnt react to opinions of fans, cuz there will always be good and BAD opinions. So that is outta line of IRV, but you guys keep hounding on him for being happy about his views! Let the dude be happy, and quit trying to be the rain on the parade. If i had 200,000 views i would be stoked...wouldnt you? People say, "just cuz he's a rapper, doesnt mean he's above his fans..."blah blah blah whatev...but flip that shit around. Just cuz he's a rapper doesnt mean he cant be happy about this accomplishment, no matter how it worked out.

I would agree that i am an Asshole, BUT. For the 10th Time now, I NEVER Sent him any Messages saying "Irv Shut the fuck up about your fucking views" Someone i am Following Retweeted that KC Dj, Brooklyn Martino. She does the Intro on the Mixed Plate. The Tweet was praising Irv and Hist Views. I Replied to that tweet, just saying "It would be more impressive if he had that many views on an original song of his" Or something along that line. Then out of the Blue 2 Irv Fans sent me 2 Messages talking shit, saying that Irv is a fucking Superstar. Then I made the Sarcastic Tweet that said

I done Did it again. I offended Irv Da Phenom fans (All 5 of them) Then I Wake up to Irv Telling me to fuck off. How am i The Asshole and what does following him have to do with anything. I still have no clue how he saw those messages, when i was never Retweeted. Just Because i Followed Irv on Twitter, doesn't mean all my messages show up on his timeline or Mentions, unless I type in @IrvDaPhenom (Which i never did).

 

But Whatever. Irv can fuck himself and he can brag about the hit that wasn't even His Creation.

Trust Me dude, it's not just me saying it. The Team behind a Very Well Known Underground Rapper stated that Irv seems real Big Headed. They said that at this level, you should still be really grounded and Accessible to people. They said they were trying to contact him and it was impossible to get a hold of him, like He is Lil' Wayne or some shit.
