Interview With ‘Coathanga Strangla’ Producer Michael ‘Seven’ Summers

Have you ever wondered what it’s like to be the man behind the music? Last week, Strange Music interviewed “the sound of Strange Music,” Michael “Seven” Summers. Summers is responsible for much of the production behind Brotha Lynch Hung’s Coathanga Strangla, and also Tech N9ne’s latest single, “F.A.N.S.

Summers, who is from Kansas City, said he first made connection with Tech N9ne in 1998 while working on a local project. When Tech N9ne was working on Everready, Summers gave Tech N9ne the hit track “Come Gangsta”. “From there, the rest is history,” Summers said.

Seven went on to discuss the origin behind him working with Lynch on Coathanga Strangla and how he became responsible for much of the production.

Did he produce the beat on "Come Gangsta" or the whole track?

It's called The 7th Symphony, he put it out in 2000 and features Silver Dragon, The Popper, and E-skool of Veteran Klick.

Here's a few tracks to check out...
