from Bill's Twitter:

haha wow. if a respected rapper u are kool with bites the title of one of your most popular songs on his new album, is that kool? #biters

Bill is referring to "Cult Leader" off of All 6s & 7s.  Bill is probably taking this especially personally since Tech already bit Necro (Bill's brother) with "Sexorcist".

Seriously dude? Why do people say oh if you don't like this artist you don't know hip hop. I didn't like Ill Bill prior to this. Never bought his albums & never will. Yet I do have all of 2Pac, Tech N9ne & Eminem's albums. Yea, I don't know hip hop. I listen to Run DMC, BDP, Ice Cube, Snoop Dogg, Yukmouth, Redman & Method Man, Bone Thugs N Harmony, Hopsin, Outkast, Atmosphere, The Game, Busta Rhymes, Proof, Big L, NWA, DMX, Brotha Lynch, Chamillionaire, Immortal Technique etc. So I don't know hip hop? Nice try.

Eh, whether you agree with it or not, artists do it all the time. They don't try to pass it off as their own, and in fact it's supposed to be recognized. Eminem has done it, Tech has done it, as have a lot of other rappers and artists in general.

It's one of those "effects", where you switch your flow up a bit, "copy" something from a popular, recognizable song. Maybe you switch the words, maybe you don't, but it's supposed to reference that song, artist, or bring the listener more "into the song" when they go "aww shit, I recognize that".

The most recent version of Tech doing this that I can recall is on "Sex to the Beat" where he uses the "Run and tell that homeboy" line from that YouTube sensation. It's referencing it, not "stealing" it. Supposed to be humorous.

Your definately right about the OBVIOUS part. As soon as I heard that I thought Nookie. He has a history of doin this shit. Can't say I agree with it but I do like the CD.

 Do you understand referencing a flow or lyric? Artists do it all the time, and often times they use something so common and well known that it's OBVIOUS they're doing it.

Tech n9ne is a major biter.

He even stole from Limp Bikit on this disc. Necro, and Ill Bill.

On you owe like Pookie he says "like a chump hey hey" thats a line from Nookie. Big time biter tech!

Ill bill is fucking jealous! U can tell if tech wasn't a more successful MC then him then I bet he wouldn't give a flying fuck at all. I think he's mad cuz more people will hear this track then his. He knows it
Wow... So, there are now TWO artists I USED to have respect for... 1st it was First Degree, and now Ill Bill... Lol. I'm still loling @ how hurt his feelings are over this... I sure hope he hates on EVERYONE that has EVER recycled a song title, cuz this has got to be the most retarded thing ever! Lol. So, are all of HIS track titles safe? Lol. Make sure Ill Bill has never referenced another atrist, or song in his career...
Ill bill is gay, cant steal song titles that are as generic as "cult leader", and sexorcist was takin from a porn title.  Some people just need attention.
And when you listen to the songs, they're clearly two different kinds of monsters; the name is the only thing they have in common, and he didn't coin "Cult Leader" (i.e. Slim Shady)...it's something Tech has been likened to. I too think he's pissed Tech's song'll get more recognition, and is afraid the track name will become more synonymous with Tech; I liked Bill's song, but don't think I can support an artist who could be so petty and resort to school yard name calling over something so arbitrary..

Read back.a bit for my posts on King Diamond.
If you honestly believe that Tech bit off of this title, then you have problems.  I think Ill Bill is just getting jealous that Tech is beginning to get known.  Like everyone's said already, song titles have been reused for years and years.  If we would have people suing each other over song titles there would be a problem because there's so many song out there.  Tech's song is totally different from Ill Bill's and Tech's song refers to something that he has been going through because of the release of the Pledge.  So Bill has to act like a grown man and realize that Tech didn't steal shit from him.
