If you live in a swing state, please get out there and vote this election cycle. It's too important to just abstain.

There are too many people (Republicans) that are trying to make it harder for minorities, students, etc. to vote so it's imperative that those of us who can make sure we do. Voter ID laws address the least common form of voter fraud, yet they are the most common form of legislation used and affect and disable a large amount of people from voting on time (mainly people who would likely vote for the Democratic party). 25% of African Americans don't have Photo-Identification and approx. 17-18% of Latinos don't either. Out of state students can't use their school IDs as proper identification to vote, but NRA members can use their fire-arm permits. Seems awfully one-sided isn't it? I live in Florida (where we have a history of voter fraud) so I know I'm going to exercise my right to vote and I think this discussion board could use a new topic. Sorry to all the international users :P obviously feel free to voice your input. Now, if you live in Alabama, sorry but Romney's gonna win that state, I still say get out and vote! but I understand if you don't want to either lol. But for the people in the swing states like Ohio, Pennsylvania, Florida, etc. PLEASE vote. There's gonna be a lot of people that show up and get told no. And it doesn't help that voting is done from 7am-7pm, making it already harder for 9-5 hour working citizens. Personally I think it should be a holiday where we get the day off, but Republicans have said over and over, they don't want more people voting, they want less voters. So please, get out there.

Im gonna stay neutral in this don't feel like a political debate on a forum. But fox news isnt the only biased network out there basically all news outlets are biased one way or the other. And too whoever said I work for my money so I wanna keep it. I understand you wanna keep all you make all of us do. But you gotta look at the bigger picture not all of your taxes go too people who abuse the system. Taxes pay for alot of services we all use and need not just people abusing the system.

This is true, Fox News is clearly the right wing show, MSNBC is more leftist (though not as left as is claimed) and the rest are more or less neutral with but if they get called leftist by Fox they just bow down and appease the right. lol. But yes, they're all biased. That's why I can't watch cable news. And even a lot of online news is biased, you have to be careful where you get your news from, or at least be able to tune the bias out. And good point with the other services taxes go towards, I forgot to bring that up earlier, don't wanna pay taxes? Don't call the cops or send your kids to public schools or call the fire department. Or use public roads for that matter, these are things your tax dollars go to.... among many others. It'd be great if we the people could actually choose where we allocate the funds. If you're willing to let millions of families starve because of a select minority that smokes the money away, then well... I mean, I understand why you're upset they abuse the system but more people benefit from it than they do abuse it. And it's probably best to not get involved in the debate, I personally can't help myself, I see politics as a very important thing (and I just love to argue lol). Kinda a hypocrite though even though I said I wouldn't lol :P

I don't watch Fox News.  Obama hikes taxes on the rich, to turn around and give to the poor.  He wants a lower middle class, a middle class and an upper middle class.  I work for my money.  I don't work so that I can have it taken away and given to someone who's not working to the extent that I am.  I think this little story I saw on Facebook the other day says it best.

"I was talking to a friend's little girl, and she said she wanted to be
President some day.

Both of her parents, liberal Democrats, were standing there, so I asked
her,

'If you were to be the President, what's the first thing you would do?'
She replied, 'I'd give food and houses to all the homeless people.'

'Wow - what a worthy goal.' I told her, 'You don't have to wait until
you're President to do that.

You can come over to my house and mow the grass, pull weeds, and sweep my
yard, and I'll pay you $50. Then I'll take you over to the grocery store
where the homeless guy hangs out, and you can give him the $50 to use
toward food or a new house.'

She thought that over for a few seconds, 'cause she's only 6.

And while her Mom glared at me, the little girl looked me straight in the
eye and asked, 'Why doesn't the homeless guy come over and do the work,
and you can just pay him the $50?'

And I said, 'Welcome to the Republican Party.'"

..... lol. He's closer to a moderate Republican than anything. He's kept A LOT of Bush's policies in place. I'm gonna assume you're a Faux Noise viewer then. So.... you obviously are just reiterating Bill O'Reilly and Glenn Beck or people along those lines. Please, define socialism for me, and then tell me how in the world Obama is even remotely close to being a socialist. Keep in mind, YOU are the one calling him a socialist, YOU have the burden of proof to defend your claim.

see, I hate that mentality, it's not even about who the other candidate is, it's about getting the other guy out of office. I understand not liking Obama, he's done a lot of shitty things, but he's done a lot of good things too, you act like we elected Hitler. But I'm just curious, what are your problems with him, because there are real criticisms, and fake criticisms, and usually people who say shit like this, just spew bullshit from Fox news, so I hope that you aren't one of those people. Because very few people are going to vote Romney this year, they're going to vote against Obama, and that's wrong, there are other candidates and if enough people supported them you could make them serious candidates.

Hikes taxes on the rich? He extended the Bush tax cuts, multiple times. So... yeah.... He has said he would like to raise the taxes on the rich, but who said that it's going to the poor? It'd be nice if it went to benefits and programs that help EVERYONE, but this lie of redistribution of wealth is hilarious, considering it's actually the other way around. When we pay our taxes and congressman give tax breaks for corporations and give subsidies to oil companies, that's redistribution of wealth, but from the poor to the rich, funny aint it? We're giving our money to the oil companies. And do you really think people who collect money on stocks/capital gains work harder than you do? So why do they only pay a 15% rate? When you look at their EFFECTIVE tax rate, it's so much lower than the actual 33% or 35% you see it's amazing. Romney paid what? a 13-14% rate, do you think that man has EVER worked as hard as you have? So why is his tax rate lower than ours? and that's a cute story, but I've literally seen hundreds of people go door to door and get shot down because it's cheaper to mow the lawn your self, it's nice in theory, but people try that, and still get turned down. Especially when you're homeless, a young lad like myself might fair better, but even when I try people say "sorry, times are rough" and would rather do it themselves. Like I said to Chief, yes, people can do things to better themselves, but our system isn't set up to work for the majority of people like that. The rich have gotten rich and the poor have gotten poorer over the last 30 years (and especially the last 10), maybe one day you'll realize you share more in common with the the rest of us 95% than you do with the top 5%.

every retard who said Obama hiked up taxes are stupid shits. He signed off an extension of the Bush tax cuts on even lower rates. Fucking retards. I'm personally someone who thought Obama could have done shit, and when people get all rowdy over shit that he didn't even do I get pissed

Giving to the poor? We ALL know if the budget is on his desk and it cuts off benefits for the poor, Obama will be too much of a pussy to veto it. In the 1900s, the the top bracket of wealthy people in our country had tax rates as high as 90%, and during those times the country was MUCH more successful. So keep crying about these pussy ass, less-than-20% rates while the country is declining and how big government is fucking us up, when the reality is all you right wingers are the ones that elected people who had big government waste shit on our bloated, diabetic Pentagon while claiming Social Security is broke and that we spend too much on teachers. I'm all about hearing opinions but all I hear are the same LIES from these uneducated morons.

And on the media, CNN is nonsense. They think the way to report objectively is saying "This side said this, the other side said that, and we're too retarded to lay out the cold hard facts to tell you who is actually right." Fox News are paid liars, and MSNBC is a sort of liberal place, of course Joe Scarabrough or w/e is a conservative though
