I Saw some post that Tech was number one in the game, and YES i am a WAAAAYYYYY bigger fan of Tech than ICP i'm not really a fan of them, but didn't Tech put out a video saying he was a million copies indie about a year ago and then All 6's and 7's has probly done about 80,000 by now sooo..... he's probably about 1,100,000 at least, but Icp's sales are

Carnival Of Carnage - 500,000

Ringmaster - 550,000

Riddle Box - 570,000

The Wraith - 470,000

Hell's Pit - 220,000

Tempest - 70,000

Bang! Pow! Boom! - 120,000

And yes i know they have more but those were split with MAJOR labels so were not gonna count those, and that's without There many E.P.s/Unreleased albums

Sooooooo ICP is at about 2.5 million sales so shouldn't they be #1 Indie Jwing totally!

Dick Cavett: "Jimi people say you use gimmicks in your music"

Jimi Hendrix: "Gimmicks??? (haha) the WHOLE world is a gimmick"

That awkward moment where someone restarts a thread from over 5 months and you don't even give a fuck to make a real response, but feel pressured to defend yourself as the thread starter

Keep in mind that Tech has never built his entity with the help of a major label, where as ICP did so with breakthrough releases such as The Great Milenko and The Amazing Jeckel Brothers which were released under Island Records. J and Shaggy broke off in 2001 to be strictly independent with Psychopathic but had already built a large fanbase with releases that were funded with the major label machine. Radiohead has done similar but no one ever calls them the most successful indie band although they sell millions now without the help of a major.

Tech has built his entity entirely from the ground up which is the reason why we call him number one in this regard.

I do't understand people seem to forget that Tech was signed to JROC and Midwestside for 3 albums before Strange so don't come in here with that shit

JCOR*. And are you really trying to say that JCOR/Midwestside are on the same major level as Island? Completely different situations. Not comparable in any sense.

Didn't wanna read through all the shit to find out if someone already said this, but isn't/wasn't ICP backed by Universal... therefore they haven't been fully Indie.. I could be wrong thos.. I don't know a god damn thing about that pittiful group.

Milenko still is to this day, my favorite album ever made.  When I first heard it, I was like "Wow I've never heard anything like this before".  They've sold millions of albums because they made that first impression on alot of listeners. If it was just because of a Major label, they would of fell off years ago.  Hate all you want, but they outlasted alot of your traditional rappers. And if you ask me I think Tech and Trav are pretty much following right behind J and Shaggys footsteps, with the whole Technicians thing, and merchandising ideas.  ICP has Pioneered the way to independent success.

Right now ICP is on the same as Tech n9ne they're on there own label with distribution by Fontana records. that's how it's been forever for ICP and Tech except 2 ICP albums wich i didn't include in the sales, but people still have to bring up for some reason and i shouldn't say forever cause they've changed distribution over the years, but it's been the same run down of business.

And yes, at the time ICP was signed Hollywood records was doing nothing, but distribution for posthumous albums for Queen which no one was buying and they were going bankrupt ICP was there first band that sold so yea they are pretty comparable Hollywood wasn't as GIANT as people think they were
