I Saw some post that Tech was number one in the game, and YES i am a WAAAAYYYYY bigger fan of Tech than ICP i'm not really a fan of them, but didn't Tech put out a video saying he was a million copies indie about a year ago and then All 6's and 7's has probly done about 80,000 by now sooo..... he's probably about 1,100,000 at least, but Icp's sales are

Carnival Of Carnage - 500,000

Ringmaster - 550,000

Riddle Box - 570,000

The Wraith - 470,000

Hell's Pit - 220,000

Tempest - 70,000

Bang! Pow! Boom! - 120,000

And yes i know they have more but those were split with MAJOR labels so were not gonna count those, and that's without There many E.P.s/Unreleased albums

Sooooooo ICP is at about 2.5 million sales so shouldn't they be #1 Indie Jwing totally!

haha well good think Tech hasn't done any songs with Wayne or anything to get exposure that probably would put a whole in you're argument about mainstream exposure......... and BTW they were boosted cause of all the controversy with Hollywood Records wow i'd hate to say some certain red headed Devil worshiper got exposure through media

ICP's sales were largely bolstered by their mainstream non-indie success ,  despite being indie released albums the lionshare of those sales came during their mainstream days; and during their mainstream days they gathered  a moderate following of people who want to be different, but can't figure how so they latch onto a group who claim to be different by being much like each other. Their success is not garnered from being Indie, it was gained during their wide spread exposure in the mid to late 90's...And if you think ICP wasn't mainstream when they were coming out week after week schilling the theme song for The Oddities in the WWF you're simply deluding yourself.

Oh, and Tech's the #1 artist..not group (been said I know)., but let him hit the level of mainstream success ICP had around Malenko and Jeckel Bros...and he'd be murdering ICP in 10 years (Carnival was realeased in in 91, and less then doubles Anghellic which was released in '01.).

But I think Tech's gonna stay mainly Indie, I think he likes his position in the rap world; see where he goes though, he's definitely aiming for mainstream success, just on his terms.

haha what I'm not defending them i'm just putting the facts on the table and trying to have a intellegent discussion about it and people keep saying some stupid shit like OMFG THEY SUCK COCK CARE ABOUT MY OPINION when thats not the point at all but thanks for all the work for lil ol' me =,D

I wish I was as creative as you. I mean the term "gay homosexual" is just brilliant where did you come up with something like that?!

If you really weren't a fan of ICP you wouldn't of defended them so wholeheartedly as you did.

The reason you didn't say you were a fan is so you wouldn't have a thread of people just flaming you.

But what you don't know is that any thread made about ICP is going to get flamed.

Because ICP blows dick.

Oh and by the way, do you know the definition of "Artist"? Obviously not because ICP is not an "Artist" they are a group of artists.

So get the fuck out of here with your ridiculously non thought out thread.

and no one else is laughing trying to have serious thread hear leave you're gay ass opinions at the door this is a convo about sales not whether or not you like them and you're gay homosexual fantasies you have about them.

icp sucks dick for gas money so that could be a big part of it lmfao
You mean the thing that happened a bit more then a month ago? Where does that put a HOLE in my arguement? He's gotten some exposure (EXTREMELY recently) where ICP was mainstream as shit in the mid to late 90's (then people realized school was important), and have had basically twice as long to accrue those sales; and even then, only because of their mainstream success.

Malevolent Mike just took control of this thread
ICP: not artists
Alright, putting my two sense in now, cause this is ridiculous. Look at Tech, never used T.V. or radio or any mainstream help at all. Yes he was with Midwest, JCOR, and Quincy, but after being swindled countless times and not finding home Travis found Tech and helped him create strange, where he has sold almost one million records with Anghellic to All 6's and 7's. Tech does 200 shows a year and sells a ton of merch, ICP from what I know doesn't do half the shows Tech does or has the power of the artists signed. Tech is number one because he tours worldwide (200 shows a year), drops 3-5 albums a year, has a heavy hitting roaster, and sells out all his shows and sells a ton of merch. Lil Wayne looked for Tech and as Tech has said found a beat that would fit Lil Wayne and he still was subpar. With the Lil Wayne thing is just shows how freakin great he is. He is going to be 40 and is still going as hard as he is. Shaggy 2 Dope is 36 and Violent J has just turned 39, also Tech thanks their fans for letting him in and as Tech says in face paint he is ICP's wicked prodigy. Tech has tons of guest spots and puts out albums every year sense Everready. Sorry for the long rant but there is a reason he is number 1 and it is not only because of his album sales.

has anyone pointed out that this guy said that tech sold a million "about a year ago"... that is false

Killer put him over 1 million.... killer came out in 2008

that was 3 years ago.. and tech is much bigger now

since killer tech has released "sickology 101" "KOD" "the gates mixed plate" and "all 6's and 7's"

plus idk if you count EP's.. that would add two more releases.... and the hard copy of bad season.. idk if that counts either.

plus you  might as well assume that the sales for his older albums have spiked a bit in the last two years since he has become alot more popular.

ssssooooo... in conclusion. i think tech has sold more then 1,100,000

its 1,403,476 on all Strange Music releases and 1,436,476 all album sales together

If you just look at the record sales from anywhere and use a calculator you can get the numbers. It is not that hard.
