you need to learn song patterns. intro, chorus, verse, bridge, outro. etc.

i know, i wasnt actually attempting to make songs this time, just experimenting with how everything works. Ive only been using logic a few days, but if you have any advice on patterns, anytyhing helps. thanks bro

Damn bro fuck anything negative anyone has to say bout that shit,  You got the right idea and really got sumn going. I think all the tracks are killer except for last one.  I know your just startin to fuck around with it and its not polished but keep going man.  I like it.  p.s. I know a dope beat when I hear one and if u dont believe me test me.  Listen to lots of shit and u got sumn with this. Be hungry and kill it kid!

It's not a bad start bro, there are some ideas there which I know would sound dope.

However, it was incredibly obvious which sounds were sampled and which weren't. The trick now is to learn how to master sounds and come up with your own beats. The first thing I did when making beats is practicing making JUST the beat, i.e. the kick, the clap and the high hat. You'll be able to find out the different beat patterns that sound dope in today's rap music. After that, work on musical sound, starting with chord progressions then fillers etc. Then it's about the melody, which is the hardest bit lol. Oh, and try and avoid sampling from the software as much as you can. Sampling with other recordings is good, but don't thief it from the software lol.

You're using the best software and I do envy you lol, I don't have a mac. Just remember, always play around with sounds and trust your musical instinct :)
