How do u know the Bible you read is the word of God when the scripture were written by man?

OK, I stated in the discussion earlier that I more or less believe in a higher power, and that I feel everyone should have their own belief. That's what I said and I'm sticking to it. haha Really any religion's base is LOVE, so why is this guy getting picked on? He obviously is a little angry about the subject, let's respect his opinion. He came into this world the same way any "Christian" comes into this world. With nothing but whomever you have along side of you to make it through. I respect his opinion, and I hope he feels a little better with this comment.Peace

For me, it's amazing to know that the God that created the universe would let me know who he is. I believe God is who he said he is and he's proven it to me and whoever wants to believe. God's not going to force you to believe in him. It's your CHOICE! It's the christian mission to become like Jesus and have a relationship with God. If you don't believe, why pay it any attention? For the most part, you're wasting your time trying to combat this belief which has stood for THOUSANDS of years. It always amazes me that people who don't believe in God try to convert christian people to atheism! The bible tells us that to people who don't believe in God, the word of God is foolishness to them. It's a useless assault on a faith to try and discourage christian people!

It would be great if people would just put pride aside and vanity aside and just trust God. It won't always happen that way tho. It's funny that I've heard people boldly deny God and have an issue in there life and come to me, asking for prayer or asking "What is God doing?" If anyone FORCES God on you, they don't have your best interest at heart. If you're desperate for some type of answer for life's turmoil, I say turn to God! It's your choice. God sets in front of us LIFE and DEATH. He says CHOOSE LIFE!!!

I'm not anti-religion. We have different nations, ethnicities, etc. To say that religion seperates people...well, we're all seperate as it is. You can't expect all these different cultures and people to have one religion. Their culture and upbringing falls in line with what religion they subscribe to. They cause wars? They'll ALWAYS be conflict. You don't need religion for that. Look at street gangs. Religion has nothing to do with that. People focus on the bad...you'll have more bad if you didn't have something to lead certain folks out of the dark. Some of these "saved" folks would probably be robbing your ass, kickin' in the door if they hadn't found God lol

Here it goes yall. I was raised by a Christian family. I was told all the BS yadda yadda yadda, you know, just talk. And then I stopped going to church. And I started to think about all the ridiculous shit about the bible. Which made me question religion and God, which made me realize ALL religion is bullshit for me. If it works for you, sweet shit. But hey, I don't want people telling me that I should believe something just because it works for them, somehow.

Here are a few points of interest for me as far as the Christian religion....
How would one explain the fact that the story of Jesus is almost EXACTLY the same story as that of prophets of other religions?
There are so many different beliefs in this world that you have no idea that yours is the correct one.
If all humans started from two people, how are there so many different ethnicities and races? which also brings up the point of inbred families, which apparently isn't wrong in the eyes of "God" but I guess gays are.
If I wrote a book condemning socks, hats, Tupperware, and eggs and said God told me to write it, would people think im crazy, or a "messenger of the lord"? My bet is crazy.

That's just a few of my problems with Christianity.
If you dig the whole religion thing, then cool man, do it up. Just leave the salesmanship out of it. I'm not buyin.
If anyone has answers to me, feel free to answer. not looking to argue.

If we were made in gods image. Then why did people use to look like caveman, or did god look like a caveman when he made us(if there is a god)?
If he knew everything, then why could'nt he find adam & eve when they were sinning, & when they where eating the fruit off that tree?
What if there really isnt a god how do u even know he even
exists? People are always saying they experienced something god told them to do or say, how do you even know there telling the truth?

I'm putting this the nicest way possible. You are ignorant. Maybe if you throw a few more "fucks" in there we will all get your point a little better. Oh, and I like your unsupported claim where you will have no memory after death, which is the exact same logic as religion. Oh and in your later remark of you not reading the bible, then how could you know whether to believe anything the bible says? I'm just saying inform yourself before you make a basis of claim. If you are atheistic, at least have a reason. If you are Christian, Muslim, or whatever, be that for a reason. Open your mind.

Anyone who would like to argue with legitimate logic and claims, feel free. I am open for discussion.
