Uh yeah, he makes a good point, but it's obviously over your head. They sign Lynch who raps about eating people while being a huge underground legend, specifically in the west coast and "horrorcore" scene, two scenes Strange is familiar with. Lynch will bring a lot of old fans with him and he serves as Strange's "street cred" when it comes to maintaining their underground roots.  Strange gets respect for signing a legend like that.

Hopsin on the otherhand is basically a no-name from Cali who talks shit about other rappers. Yes, he could turn into a big hit and it would be awesome for Strange to discover him. But he isn't there yet and it's not worth it to take a chance on a guy who would rather make enemies than friends. Strange, Tech specifically, has never been about "hating on" other artists, Tech's all about bringing artists together, mainstream, underground, non-American, etc. 

And I don't want people to think I hate Hopsin. I think his shit is dope and he has an insane amount of potential not to mention his already present skill. Unfortunately, I don't like the way he talks shit about people he doesn't fuck with. I talk shit about rappers with my buddies, but I'm not about to specifically call them out in my songs. All it is is my opinion, my preference, it doesn't need to be publicized. Shit like that can escalate to unnecessary beef, people are gonna think you're hating, etc. It's pointless and it makes you look bad. Especially when you're almost bottom of the barrel talking about the gorilla chuckin' that barrel.

 

So now, I implore you to think about what I'm saying.

I'm not saying Hop is a bad guy or anything. I know Hop is just expressing his opinions of other rappers, I'm sure he's not trying to get fame off of it, but that could happen. And when that does happen, the rapper doesn't get full respect. I'm fine with him or any other rapper saying they don't like the current state of hip-hop, but it's another thing to say you're going to kill Drake. He just alienates a lot of people by doing so. Someone who likes Wayne could potentially like Hopsin, but not if he's talking shit about Lil Wayne in a bunch of his songs.

I agree. and as for some of the other posts. theres a difference in confidence and being competitive, and just being cocky to the point where people are annoyed. all rappers will compete, and yes boasting about your skills has been a big part of hip-hop since it started, but theres a difference between bragging and just being a retard. But i agree, dont read into it too much. hes still young and fairly new to the game when it comes to getting the recognition hes getting. regardless, he could be a pedophile, but hes still a pretty good artist.

All of this is the reason I don't listen to Hop. I mean come on the dude goes after Lupe, that's just dumb.

If he comes to a town near u on his tour, id go if i were u and talk to him, he is extremely humble and down to earth n takes the time to talk with his fans much like tech, when i went he was talkin to fans n takin pix b4 him n swizzz even went up so was swizzz

Riiight, he calls him fake in the same verse in which he insults Waynes, Drakes, and Soulja Boy's rapping ability and he's only talking about Lupe skateboarding. Besides that the only shit Lupe has on skateboarding is Kick, Push and Hopsin acts like he put out a whole album on it. He was definitely taking more of a shot than that. 

 

I don't see why you guys praise this guy so much, it must be the contacts because he's not that good.

He's not, and he's said multiple times on facebook and other places that he likes Lupe and listens to him, but has seen him skateboard in real life and apparently he is terrible.

He asked about Strange rumors, pretty sure that's obviously not about any "gay rumors". Dumbass.

 

Regardless, he deleted the post because he's probably sick and tired of people asking him about whether he's signing to Strange. I'd say a huge portion of his fans are Tech N9ne fans, he came up big time throughout these threads. Can you imagine how many times a Strange fan asked him about signing to Strange?
