Permalink Reply by matt meyer on January 24, 2013 at 12:37am Hopsin has way better flow and delivery, and while he some times gets outmatched on the lyrics and content, he still has better rhyme schemes.

I still think Hopsin is far better than dizzy and jarren.

Permalink Reply by iAMuSIK on January 24, 2013 at 1:34am I used to really dig Hopsin but im sick of him preaching like hes god, it gets old real quick. And i was hyped for knock madness, but who knows when it's actually going to even be released?
Yes he could come back and blow me away but i don't feel Hopsin is going in the right direction as a artist (or maybe im just growing up? lol) Dizzy is growing on me, only ever listened to a few of his songs tho, he has a nice kick back flow. I like Jarrens style the best personally.
Permalink Reply by matt meyer on January 24, 2013 at 1:51am I don't really get how everyone says Hopsin has become preachy. Yeah he made IMOH5, but all he really did was talk shit about stoners and fuck ups the same way he usually talks shit about lil wayne and tyler the creater, but none of you had a problem with it before.
But even if you do find it preachy, it was only one song. The song that he put out before that was Hop Madness, which is basically a newer version of sag my pants. His album is probably going to be mixed just like Raw was. Raw had Nocturnal Rainbows and I Can't Decide, which both preached positive messages, but he didn't catch shit for it back then.
All in all I don't see how anyone can say his style has changed when his album hasn't come out yet. If the style he had before is embodied by the album Raw (or his whole discography, whatever you wanna do), then how can you say he changed up his entire musical style just by listening to one song? It doesn't make sense to me.
And don't reply talking about shit he has said on facebook or in interviews, because when it comes down to it that still is not relevant to the music that you have yet to hear.

I agree Hopsin might get annoying if he starts having some God praising bullshit track since he's been clearly touched by some religious experience (which I will refrain from going off on) which he's touched on his interviews, but he hasn't yet. Call me crazy but people need to reserve their judgement. I would have thought all the bullshit about Tech 'falliing off' after TGMP would have taught people that.
Permalink Reply by ЖĭϞϬ ƦΔϟŦԃ on January 24, 2013 at 3:07am I've been "mehhh" about Hopsin since Raw released. I was let down after all the hype surrounding it.
And aside from music, I just don't respect Hop's "hustle". Talk about how drugs are a negative thing all you want, Macklemore and Kendrick do it (respectably) and I'm a huge fan of both. But don't judge a group of people for doing something that you profit from through other artists.

Permalink Reply by a tie a on January 24, 2013 at 5:36pm i don't think he was saying if you do drugs you are a waste of life period. I got out of it that he was talking about the individuals he described in the track. I know groups of people literally like what he was talking about who do drugs (though I would also argue drugs aren't the only reason they do what they do), but I know people who are doing quite well that smoke too. So I assume he's talking about the former
