Homophobia in the Hip-Hop Community, Your thoughts, Tech?

Hip-Hop is notoriously tough on the gay community, which I've honestly always found kind of strange. Anyways, with the recent public support for same sex marriage shown in sports and in the media, it seems that acceptance and support in the hip-hop community is just a matter of time.

Tech, your lyrics are all about dealing with rejection, sorrow, strife, feelings of not-belonging, being rejected by your peers, etc. Additionally, a lot of your songs focus on inner strength, being yourself, telling people who don't accept you to 'go fuck themselves' (FTI). I'm curious to hear your feelings on the whole matter.

I feel this is a topic most rappers refuse to talk about, but as someone who values truth and honesty, I figure it would be pretty cool for you to be one of the first rappers to talk about it.

All the best,

Chris H.

no i do not have gay friends, one of my cousins is and thats her lifestyle choice, but even guys, if they like gettin it in the chili ring than thats there choice, and i know a few guys around my town that are gay, they dont bother me i dont bother them, thats how it is, you shouldnt have to worry about if someones gay, if thats all you do than you have no life

natural selection decided gay people were too fucked up to procreate...pretty smart if you ask me

as long as they stay out my face it's ok but the second gay people run up on you or act like huge vaginas they deserve to be beaten. it's not necessarily because they are gay it's because they are still acting like bitches and are held to the same standard as other males...there is no double standard

Local Ghetto SuperFag should do us all a favor and follow his own words by going and killing himself then we will never have to hear another ignorant bible-humping word come out of his faggot ass mouth.
1 thing i dont understand is the "typical fag". why does liking men mean you have to be a female with a dick? i think if gay people acted like normal men, but then fucked guys, no one would have problems.
It's scary to think some of the opinions in this thread are real. Good lord, I thought this was 2011.
Thats the psychological part i was talkin about. something is wrong with them Rupals. in the head.

I pretty sure this was decided a long time ago. DE tried to come in and give him a run for his money but there is no denying the ultimate doucheness that spews out of this dipshit.

This has been a touchy subject for a long time in hip-hop. Alot of people believe in the story a Sodom and Gamorah that God turn the city into a grain of salt because of homosexual men. When in fact that is not true. It was bcause of prostitution and greed. Alot of people do not read there bibles enough to understand. Alot of the bible is misinterpreted anyways (specially by  the Christan Community). I believe this whole issue will come to a conclusion between the two. Where all people but we have diffrent things about who we are. Thats what I love about this world. Alot of people on here may not agree with me but so be it. We need to stop being so ignorant and narrow minded. And on top of that the ones that are really homophobic actually like the same sex but are too fuckin afraid to admit it because there scared!!

i wasn't sayin, "of course you don't hate them, all your friends are homo" too you. i was talkin to my lil buddie cole, him and his friends like riding each others dick on this site.

who just post unintelligibly comments and don't add any input except, the word this. i mean if your going to add to a discussion you might wanna put a statement of your own if not a whole sentence.  ????
