Damn half his check???I thought it was only a 5% tax increase for households making over 250,000 a year.All this talk about car the govt. buying car companies has brought on nothing but speculation at this point.What have they really done besides the "cash for clunkers" deal???Lets face it,those greedy ass car companies brought all that shit upon themselves,by selling shitty cars who need a repair every damn year while holding ppl to thier finance contracts who are basically paying for dead horses.Thats why a major ceo was made an example.Im all for capitalism as long as it doesnt turn into a fuckin monopoly.Its only a matter of time before the govt. steps in and forces shady companies like walmart to unionize and walmart will only have itself to blame.I mean if your father is one of the 2% of american households who make 250,000 or more its unfortunate that he has to shell out more of his hard earned money to the govt. but there are milllions of ppl who dont have healthcare coverage let alone who can afford a fuckin ride in a damn ambulance.Believe me homie I just got one of those bills in the mail and 500 bucks for a 3 minute ride turned out to be the most expensive rollercoaster ride ive ever taken and my wife and I are now trying to figure out how to pay for it.
Cole Payan [AVCP333] said:well thats one end of the spectrum. but from my end, obama's taking half of my dad's paycheck in tax money, and if the government continues to buy car companies (i think Ford is the only one privately owned now), then they will be able to decide what we drive eventually by deciding what cars gets produced and specifications and such
Dukecityspecialist said:I dunno,he's put about 20 more dollars a week and 8000 in my familiy's pockets from those tax breaks and credits.he's fired one of the biggest ceo's of a greedy car company.its funny cause that was a move that even bill oreilly co signed and he's still fighting for health care reform and the systems shitty health care has affected both my parents and my wife's family, so I see progress,its just like he said " its not going to happen overnight it might not happen in the first term but we will get there" I think he's trying but that's just me I guess
Cole Payan [AVCP333] said:the reason people expected a quick fix is because he tried to make it sound like he had all the answers to all the problems during the election. i didnt think that change would happen fast like most of america seemed to, but i would have expected him to do SOMETHING by now
Dukecityspecialist said:Yeah of course hes gonna get a low approval rating.Look at the mess he has inherited.Hes only been in office for a year and everyone is whining and bitching,expecting a "quick fix".Lets wait and see what those dumbass poles say in 3 more years.
Dirty 530 said:FYI Obama's approval rating is lower then Bush's was
Dukecityspecialist said:Well maybe its progress.Maybe ppl learned from thier lack of compassion from the N.O situation.Also there was a different president in office at the time of katrina and that dude didnt give two shits about New Orleans.I dont know the answer Im just sayin.Youre not supposed to donate its just a personal choice.If you dont care thats fine no one is going to kill you over it.Me personally I think as humans its normal to feel sorrow and compassion when ppl are suffering but a lot of ppl take things too far and become judgmental when they have no right to.Thats just life i guess.
Seriously, how did this get into car companies and government? o.O;
Anyway, we all know what our quick fix is, and that's marijuana. Hell, Cali has STORES that sell that shit, and you know how the economy in that part of the city is? Fucking wonderful. Now, think, if we did that EVERYWHERE, and yes, I am suggesting that they would have to tax it, but honestly? It'd save us the trouble of getting in trouble if we had it on us, and our economy would flourish. My thing is, though, is why a simple plant is so illegal and looked down on, when it is easy as hell to die from alcohol poisoning and cancer from cigarettes, yet those two are legal and easy to get? Come on now, even the dumbest motherfuckers here know that there's something wrong with that. The only way to OD on weed is to smoke 400 pounds within 15 minutes, WHICH IS IMPOSSIBLE. So, why not legalize weed and get us out of this shithole?
thats not really true about california, our state is so far in debt its ridiculous. thats the reason we have to legalize weed in the first place, because our economy is shit and its our only hope it seems.
