i agree Obama hasn't done anything he said he would.
1. Healthcare: He promised a powerful bill, but he got corupt by the politics, and he let the public option die. he gave in to the coporate politicians like Lieberman and all those fuckers.
2. Offshore oil drilling: he flat out was against it. now he's tring to play bipartisanship and is going to expand
3. Financial: I'll give Obama credit for making a some hundreds of thousands of jobs, but he isn't being strong against the big banks and the nonsense right-wing arguments that the banks need to stay big, even tho if they fail they will bring down the rest of the economy with them.
4. Guantanamo: He didn't close it down. BUT, he couldn't really do much, the Senate wasn't really for it so it wasn't really his fault
5. Foreign policy: He CONTINUES Bush/Cheney policy in Afganistan, even tho there isn't even a legitemate government. We are still in Iraq. He in giving Israel 3 billion dollars in military aid every year to use in their oppresive policy towards Palestinians. IRAN: They don't have nukes. they all know it. Despite this they continue the nonsense policy against Iran to because the U.S doesn't like Iran. Not to mention they other countries that violated the NPT treaty most severely than Iran, but the U,S doesn't give a shit.
6. He claims to want change, but he puts in morons like Rahm Emanual and Tim Gietner as Cheif of Staff and Secretary of Treasury, who are both deeply in corporate interests

In conclusion, Obama isn't that great, but better than a Republican candidate. I was a sucker who supported him during the campaign, but next election when i can vote i know that i will vote Dennis Kucinich, who has proved himself to be a real liberal

i just want to point out something: people takl about the government hiding numbers and staistics and all that. it's not the GOVERNMENT. It's PRIVATE INDUSTRIES that depend on LYING about these numbers, facts, etc to maintain their profit. Like weed, it can't be monopolized by industries, so they don't want it legalized. which is why they sponsor politicians to vote against it.

Weed SHOULD be legalized imo. i like it for its medical purposes. idc if p. eople smoke it, i would prefer if people didn't, but i'm not going to bitch about it. what i care about is that it makes drug cartels pretty much ineffective.drug gangs prosper because weed is illegal. people are dying over this joke of a 'War On Drugs', and cops barge into people's houses and literally shoot their dogs based on if they POSSESS weed. it's nonsense
i'm sorry but that argument didn't make sense to me... Jesse Jackson is ACTUALLY black? so obama isn't? anyways, a lot of people didn't vote for Obama coz he was black to. i agree race was a factor, but we need to realize that it went both ways. and we need to realize that Obama won by such a large margin is coz Bush left us the biggest shit hole ever and most of America don't want to vote for the party that caused the destruction of our country lol

you sounded very educated up until this point. now your back to being a left wing extremist. No one should give a shit what party a candidate represents. People go into elections without even reviewing policies, they just vote for whatever candidate their party sends out. Sounds like you would never vote for a Republican candidate, which is just retarded. Although I am a registered Republican, I would never be against voting a Democrat in if i agreed with enough of their policies. If America was more middle of the road than left wing / right wing, elections would be a lot better

The black comment means that Jesse Jackson is very pro black and blackrights. Obama presented it as the lower class instead of making it a race war. Obama did it in a better way that appealled to americans. And i know people didn't vote for him because he's black but also didn't vote at all because he was black and that means for either party. Therefore increases the number of people who did vote for him because of the number of people who didn't STATISTICALLY show favor in obamas side because they hurt their party by not voting instead of voting against him. But i do agree that people dont vote for the party that fucked up our country. But i honestly don't think that the government has as much control as people think. The electoral college is what decides the presidency and honestly i don't know who makes up the ellectoral college but I believe its big business corporate execs who do things and try to force policies that benifit their profit margins. Maybe i'm way off on the electoral college and probably am but i don't think the government has america's best interest at hand anymore. I do agree with Cole though that more people should listen to the policies and make an educated decsion instead of just voting because he's black or because of what party hes in.

That was a generalization, true. But the ones in the 2008 campaign were terrible. McCain? that guy doesn't know how to work the economy, he likes oil drilling, he had corporate interests in the healthcare debate, he wanted to continue Iraq and Afghanistan.
The thing is that i DO stand on that statement: Republicans don't want to regulate industries and banks. THAT is an issue. that is EXACTLY what cuased the crash of the economy.
EVERY republican voted against a comprehensive healthcare bill, because majority of them were corporatists.
EVERY ONE of the Republicans support Israeli policy against Palestine.

I get that my statement was waaay over generalized, but there are some things that many Republicans support that i don't

i don't agree with the electoral college point, but that is a very bad system. it gave an excuse for Bush to win (even tho the 2000 election was rigged, fact, not myth). but you are totally right that corporations pay sellout politicians, so it's the corporations that have more control than the govnernment, but i think i may have gone a little too far by thinking that

people dont understand that the majoirty of the deficite that they count against were bombs and shit that had been sitting since even before desert storm the majority of the debt is due to the war obama racked up quadurple the amount of money that bush and clinton did in less then 6 months and now they own the banks and most of the major car companies the government should have the least amount of power and the people should have the power this is not the case under obama people dont understand that obama ratings are lower then bush ever were more people are changing to a more conservative side of politics then ever before because of obama taxes were just raised in las veas like 10% on every purchase obama swore he would lower taxes thats why people voted for obama he talked like he was gonna do shit that cons and libs both agreed on he got alot of conservative votes because he swore he would lower taxes just another lie from obama man i could go on and on about this shit i constantly watch both conservative and liberal media and then try and find facts my self i am a proud conservative but i will admit bush did alot of things that he could have done different

and to the kid complaining trying to stand up for the plastines isreal has been pushed back to like an 8 mile strech of land if anyone is being opressed it is isreal iran has said multiple times that they will wipe isreal off the face of the planet as soon as they get nuclear capablities and have threaten the same for the us

my major complain besides obama policies is that i want a president that stands up for his country and is proud of his country if u listen to his speaches he is regularly saying that we are doing shit wrong and he wants to change it thats not how i want my president to act he held a press confrence during the tea party meeting and said these people are complaining about taxes they should be thanking me well were complaing because taxes are going up not down like he promised

people dont understand why conservatives want to lower taxes on large compaines when they have low taxes they have less of an over head so with that they are able to spend more money and give more jobs when they are taxed highly they have more of an over head and they have to decrease employees to make sure they are still profiting thats why we want lower taxes on major companies
I agree with just about all of this. Obama is said to even be the 3rd antichrist by some religous freaks. He's said to come from the mddle east and obama's from kenya or some shit. Thats where he's born according to his grandma who died right around the time of his election. Or thats what they say atleast. LOL.

Obama's ratings aren't lower than Bush... Obama's ratings are in the 40s right now. Bush was in the 20s...
