Ok so this is done all the time on SL so i thought i'd bring it to this site to liven things up a bit.  Basically its just a game with a list of something (albums, songs, artists, etc) and everyone votes for their least favorite from the list. Which ever one gets the most votes is out and then everyone votes again and so on until there are no more choices left. Each round will be 1-2 days depending on how many votes are received. So for our first survivor game we will see what you all think Tech's best album is.  I left the EPs and Vintage Tech (since its a compliation) out but included Bad Season and Celcius. Also i will edit the thread title accordingly for when its time to vote for the next round so everyone knows.

Everready (The Religion) is your winner!!!!!

Thank you to everyone who participated and made this game fun. Please feel free to post any ideas you might have for future survivor games.

Wait a minute, THATS your comparison? You were just late to the party dude. My guess is that in 2001 your rap knowledge was pretty limited.

And Pink Floyd as a comparison?

WTSL....smh at all these Anghellic votes.

comparing a classic rock album to a modern rap album is a pretty poor argument.

Listen to Pink Floyd's "Dark Side Of The Moon" released in 1973, it was nearly 30 years before Anghellic, then tell me Anghellic was ahead of it's time in production. A 30 year old album had better production then Anghellic.

Welcome 2 Strangeland. Why am I STILL voting for this?

The ones listing Anghellic, sayin the beats sound old, if yall actually listened to this cd when it came out, it was pretty much ahead of its time in production, lyrics, and concept.

Sorry if you guys were just late to the party, or too young when this cd dropped, but when it hit, damn, it was fucking epic.

Its about production value, production value does not limit itself to specific genre's, its all music and all music can be compared when talking about production, it's so black and white, there is no grey area,

How?, every album goes through the same process, every style of music has vocals and beats, I dont understand how u dont see comparing any genre of music to any other isn't valid when talking about production, In actual fact rock in general requires extra knowledge of production as live instruments are used when recording, a majority of rap music is sample based wether it be kicks or snares or whatever, u cant tell me Michael "Seven" Summers sits there on a drum kit and record's his kick's, snares and hats, then sequences them. The samples of course are originally recorded but are cleaned up and mastered before they are used as samples.

you just proved my point...everything you typed after the first sentence is about how rock production is different than rap production...

I'ts not different, it's more envolved, thats all, once both genre's hit a certain point of production, they are exactly the same product, a product needing pitch, level and eq correction, effects eg.reverb, mastering of levels, fades, etc. It's exactly the same process wether it be gospel or death metal or rap, it's EXACTLY the same process, that is why Dark Side Of The Moon can be compared to Anghellic in production.
