*NOTE*

I AM NOT ACTUALLY PROPOSING THIS AS A REAL IDEA.

I just thought it would be cool if we composed kind of a list of rules that we would like tech n9ne to follow while making an album, while still trying to give him all of his creative control. Again, not actually saying we print this shit out and mail it to tech n9ne, but it'd be cool to see what we come up with.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Basically we don't limit tech's creative control like this; We don't tell him what to do, but we tell him what not to do. The last thing we would want to do is push him around creatively, i think we can all agree on that.

EXAMPLES:

We can't tell him who to feature on the album. But we can tell him who NOT to feature on the album. Just so we don't end up with "fuck food 2 ft. gucci mane and soulja boi"

We can give him a wishlist though. A list that we know he will read, of artist we all agreed upon that we would like him to concider, he is by no means bound to that list though.

We can't give him a maximum amount of time to work on the album, but we can give him a minimum amount of time. Example; take at least two days writing each song.

"no songs about the topic of _______"

I think you guys get the idea. Let's start proposing ideas to each other and see what kind of outlines we can ultimately come up with.

we can get a little more creative with the guide lines.

promo, pre order, bonus tracks. other bonus materiel.

double disc, multiple releases, blah blah blah.

If I could say one thing, it would just be don't rush it. Put some time into this album, I know that's why they pushed it back to March, but if it takes longer I personally don't care. Take as much time as it takes to make every song like it could be the best song on the album. Look at what happened the last time he took his time, we got Everready.

I'd also like for there to be minimal features but we all know that'll never happen.

I've said this before, but seeing as Strange music preorders cost way more than buying at bestbuy after shipping, instead of the ugly ass t-shirt, give us the instrumentals. You can find pretty much any hip hop instrumental you want on youtube unless it's from Strange lol I hate it.

I think a track about the conflicting thoughts of religion with Immortal Technique would be really interesting. Like, how Tech has studied all the different branches but is conflicted in his feelings on it (Hope For A Higher Power/Show me A God), and Immortal Technique is a Christian himself (i'm pretty sure, not positive), but talks about how places were colonized and the empires would impose their religion onto them. I feel like their views would make a very interesting track, and something that would be able to mix in their styles into a coherent concept track

waitttt man what do you mean? Yeah he hasent been on an actual tech n9ne cd, but they have 2 songs together. Night Train remix and Raw Shit, off of Travis Barker's album.
not tryin to be a dick jus makin sure you know that.

1) I would like to finally hear a collabo with Bun B. UGK is one the most underappreciated groups of all time & Bun B has collaborated with almost every revelant rapper I can think of these last 20 years except Tech.

2) If he has to take some time to do a full length album, even say like an Absolute Power to Everready stretch so be it.

3) I don't think he should totally eliminate the sex or 816 Boyz songs, just relegate them to the Collabos albums.

4) This last part is more directed at the label themselves, but even if its on tour with someone else send out the other Strange artists out to do more shows without Tech. All the other independent labels I know aren't as dependent on their flagship artist(s), and there's a reason for that. Maybe this is just an issue the fans in the K.C. market are dealing with, but it really shouldn't be that way.

Yeah I should have clarified on a Tech Cd, Travis Barker is cool but I wanna hear him on an actual Strange Music track.

Then u need to listen to different rappers. If u don't like something he does then don't listen to that song. By limiting artists he Collins with u are definitely fuckin with his creativity.
Yeah like Jackin 2K?
I think it'd be epic if he did it with a bunch of original sounds from Seven or maybe mix new tracks from Seven n WillPower n Jommezius. It'd be incredible..like the World Wide Chopperz on the production side.

I like some of the pimp/love tracks. I liked Curious and Too Many Girls. I think if he gets Twista again it should be on one of those kinda tracks but bring it into that PoPimp kinda shit. I think It'd open the door a bit more for tracks like this with Tech because with his style IMO Tech should keep these kind of tracks to a minimum. Killer had way too much of it.

I also like when Tech rhymes in a biblical and Holy perspective. I really enjoyed Hope for a Higher Power and Holier than thou.

I also jut enjoy the vicious stuff
I don't really mean dark but brutal..
Like his verse on the Bloody Murdah remix ,Blammers n Burners,Kill Shit,Online Orders,Speed Of Sound..
I'm a fan that notices the extra effort when I here it.

Also keep the artwork Dope. The work on K.O.D. Was so filthy. The way the crows came up off the cover with that black shine. The pic of Tech touchin the rabbit n fading into the ravens..
I also like the silver, red and black colorways in the 6n7z album, but not so much the cover...I mean the brand thing was cool but it just looked like some funny Mortal Kombat shit.
And WTSL was a dope concept and executes poorly IMO

Only thing I've been wanting from Tech for a while is a 3-5 minute track with a bunch of short beats, no hook, just Tech ripping different styles constantly for the tracks length. Surely Tech has gone through hella beats and liked them but not had enough songs to put them on. Or even classic hip hop beats and pay homage to them the Strange way. Would be dope. My only wish.

^ gotta agree with the artwork. As a graphic designer, I would appreciate some good design for the packaging, photography, typography, etc. I want stuff that's going to reflect how good I think Tech is musically. The embossing on the cover of KOD was dope. Same with the foil stamping on All 6's and 7's. I'd pay a little more for like a collector's edition with some cool packaging.
1) For me, I'd like there to be no more than 6-8 features on the album.

2) This one resides almost completely on Eminem, however if Tech does manage to get him on a song, I think a song like Em and Royce did on Hell the Sequel would be cool. Where they go back and fourth rapping sharing each verse.
Then u need to listen to different rappers. If u don't like something he does then don't listen to that song. By limiting artists he Collins with u are definitely fuckin with his creativity.
meh.. never gonna happen.
