"I'm not doing it for fun. I'm doing it for money".

Are you kidding me? This kind of song represents everything that is wrong with rap.  All of those mainstream rappers talk about the same shit.....Money. I think most of us fans are drawn towards Tech's music because most of his songs actually have meanings. But cmon' Tech! How many times have we heard a rapper talkin about money? This might be my least favorite Tech song of all time.

BUT.....I am and will always be a huge  Tech fan. It was one bad song, and it was on a compilation album, so I'm not worried about Tech's future music. Much love to all of the Technicians on this site!

Thats not even Tech's line, and this song does have meaning too it. Tech talks about how he wants the money that is owed to him and how he resents his uncle for screwing him over, especially since he has to put food on the table and clothes on his kids back. OPEN YOUR EARS YOU JACKASS!!!
Dont rappers get a 401K?

And like he says It's money that's OWED to him...So just because a millionaire has millions, I shouldn't pay him next time he does a job, because he already has enough? riiiiight...

Remember when Tech made Absolute Power available to download for FREE? I have never heard of anybody doin that, and it amazed me. Tech has always been about makin music, not makin money. Thats why I was disapointed to hear a song about makin money on the album.

Who said anything about makin money for 20 years and then just STOPPING? Do you really think he is not getting paid enough? Cmon....He is on the road constantly, and has been supported by a HUGE fan base at all of his shows.

I never said he was broke...just because he has made a lot of money already doesn't mean it will last forever. He says he has a wife, sister and nephew to take care of too..you try working for 20 years, then just stop...see if that money holds out til you die...Him and his family have become accustomed to a certain lifestyle, that he works hard to keep up. Stop hating, it's not the first time he's rapped about money. Get over it.

LOL You are making it sound like Tech is broke and really needs money badly. Tech is a wealthy, successful rapper. Is Tech struggling to support his family? The last 3 shows that I have been to, Tech has thanked the fans for "Givin him the ability to buy the freshest clothes for his daughters"

It blows my mind that some people don't understand what the song is about...if you are TRULY tech fans, you would have listened to the entire song instead of picking out random lines and bashing it...read between the lines, it's not about him just wanting money, he needs and deserves the money he worked for and has a family to support. He says right in the song he's doing it for his kids..."And it's serious now 'cause Tech grew babies" T94life you obviously don't understand what the song is about, because if you did, you wouldn't have posted this shit to begin with. Plus, do you not understand, this is his career? So do you hate on firemen too because they're fighting fires to make a living? Rapping is Tech's life, his job...if they don't give him the money they owe him, he can't keep rapping. He'd have to go find some lame ass job just to support his family. Maybe you should try really listening to the song again..and not just the chorus
Haha yeah I'm sure they do, if they decide to put money into it
