So is a line pretty much for the most part a line. Fofy said:

Yeah a bar is a line basically. For example in Tech N9ne's song Dysfunctional.

"Don't you bring me nothing stupid if you don't want me to lose it. (Bar 1)
Step back if you don't want me to attack. I'm a beast better give me the dueces. (Bar 2)
I have no tolerence for nonsense get away from me. (Bar 3)
Me, I want to get dollers. Don't want to holler but you making me. (Bar 4)"

Don't quote me on the lyrics but you get the point. If it helps when you're writing lyrics write one bar per line of paper.
