Im a ps3 man..I use it for everything..net...downloading movies....music...pics....storeing all three....netflix....playing online.....blu rays...dvds...but cant play online now so im a little upset..

but i guess i have to dust off my 360 and buy a month live..hopfully it wont take more then a month for sony to fix this bullshit...but ill enjoy some halo in the mean time...

Reports are saying it should be up within the week. They got it rebuilt and are just waiting for developers to install new software development kits before they put it back online.Also officially "We are currently evaluating ways to show appreciation for your extraordinary patience as we work to get these services back online." ----Nice, but I'd rather have them confirm whether or not the credit card numbers got jacked.

ive had 2 xboxs lol they died on me.. 1 ps3 from the pawn shop stillll have it!!! i think they will charge this year because of stuff thats going on.. but i could be wrong. as far as its fixed... i think it'll be iight for awhile then hacked and down again too.. ima try to be positive tho.. but idk i guess it will be up by next tuesday due to any longer and it will be hella messed up of sony

Yea thats what happened to my friend's xboxs,at first when the ps3's came out i didnt know if i should get one due to them being held back because of the glitches some of them had,or get an Xbox,but my friend bought 2 Xbox 360's that died on him,so i was like fuck that ill just risk it with PS3.I had my PS3 since they first came out back in 06' and i have never had a problem with it,it still works in good condition,but i sold it because it was a 40gb and i wanted to buy a 320 gb.

So, u sold a perfectly good semi-rare piece of hardware cause u didnt wanna swap the hard drives

I think its just amazing! I got my fiance back till it comes back up hahaha, But really, it does suck, its fucked up they admitted a week later that everyone whos info was saved is at risk, they shoulda let yall kno right away, at least then u coulda protected ur selves a lil. and you ppl bitchin that xbox is so much better, MW2 is fucked up on xbox live too, so its not just ps3

MW2 isnt nearly as fucked up as on the PSN according to all my friends who play it on PS3. The only time it was worse on Xbox was the other day when Microsoft accidentally unbanned a few people when doing maintenance on Xbox Live, but then fixed it within the hour. But I guess i wouldnt know, i havent played that game in like a year. Black Ops >>>>>>>>>>

i kno, but its just the point that it can happen to any system. they all use the same security system

That is pretty much what i did...i sold it to one of my homeys for a decent price so i could get the 320 gb so i could have more memory to save music,movies,music videos,and games etc.and it's a lot slimmer than the original one,saves room for my entertainment center.I didnt want to go through the trouble swapping the hard drives either i dont care how rare my ps3 was..I'm sure my friend will take good care of it.

I doubt they both do. I don't know the details on either of their security systems, but Microsoft's was probably built in house seeing that they are a computer company. Sony's system security seems that it was built better since it took this long for someone to create a custom firmware, but it definitely seems that Xbox Live has a stronger security compared to the PSN

Just wondering because I see no reason why it couldnt happen or why both sides wouldnt do it because in the long run they both would make more money...but why not make it so that people with an Xbox can play those who own a PS3 online....all they would need should be a common server im sure other things too but I think the idea of talking playing someone online with the opposite system would take talking shit and online gaming into another level.

i'm tired of people talking about how the 360 has problems and it's gets fucked up. a lot of my friends have had problems with that yellow light thing with the ps3 and i haven't had a problem with my 360. yes it does get the red ring and it's more frequent than the yellow light but both can have problems.
