No prob man, yea I found out I throw a lot farther throwing it like that, it worked for me so it might work for u

Lotta people at my college play this..cause there's a course at the park right down the road from campus. I've played a few times, and made my self look retarded. Lol. It's still a good way to pass time though. Especially with a group of people.

the way you should throw a disc depends on the structure... there are discs designed for sidearm and fore-arm seperately.
Then it gets trickier when you choose your plastic type and your weights and all that great stuff...
its a fun thing to go do with a bunch of friends... i consider it more of a hobby than a serious sport but there are some damn good disc golfers out there
