I am not sure if iv'e understood the meaning of the song entirely? I know it stands for "Different Kind of Nigga You" but does someone have a deeper explanation of the sole purpose of the song? Is it just that Tech is a different kind of nigga who is not to be fooled around with or is he talking about someone else (here i'm thinking of the chorus)?

tech doesnt fit into the stereotypical black rapper role

That song's already one of my favorites. But the intro when he's talking kinda gets me confused?

different kind nigga you.

Unless somebody can explain it better, the beginning was fucking stupid.

I think he's just trying to say that his thought process when it comes to shit like that is different than most peoples. Like he said most people wouldn't trip about their girl having a dildo, but he finds some deeper meaning behind it and it just brings up more questions and concerns making him a different kinda nigga.

I agree with this. Not many people question things. They just let it go as "the way things are". Tech's an outside the box kinda nigga.

Yeah the opening at first kinda threw me off, I mean Tech's talking about dildos and that turns into being about AIDS. But now it just kinda cracks me up. Whoever said it here I think hit it right on the head that Tech just thinks differently from really anybody else but he's been telling us that for years

All in All, regardless I just got wise on this song, and it's dope

I can understand the thought process of the beginning of the song cause I do the same shit, it's almost like having A.D.D. But I've been tested and don't have it lol ... But as an example I can be thinking about sex with my girl, then wonder what she is making tonight for dinner, well while we cook we listen to music so now I'm thinkin about rappers then I remember that interview two whores that fuck rappers for money talkin bout who eats ass in the industry so now I'm thinkin bout eatin her ass, which brings me back to thinkin bout sex with my girl... Trust it gets more elaborate but I'm jus sayin I can understand the thought process of the beginning of the song I laughed after I heard all of it the first time like wow I'm not the only crazy one out here..
