I approve of this thread.

Control System by far showcased Ab-Soul's growth more than ever before. I really appreciated the added depth and range of topics that were touched upon with this release. If I had to choose an absolute favorite from the album I'd probably name "The Book Of Soul". In my eyes that song was an absolute masterpiece, I can definitely appreciate the raw emotion strung within it. "Bohemian Grove", "Double Standards", "Mixed Emotions", "Empathy", and "Lust Demons" all had that classic smooth vibe to them. The first singles I heard awhile back from this LP were "Black Lip Bastard" and "Showin' Love" which both are comprised of off the wall metaphors and word play. The T.D.E. remix was also noteworthy, Jay Rock ripped his verse to shreds more specifically. With "Nothing's Something" and "Illuminate" you hear more quick paced verses from Ab-Soul and he pulls them off precisely to the T. Much of the vocals performed on "Empathy" are his own which actually builds the song up tremendously. "Terrorist Threats", "Beautiful Death", and "Track Two" focus on the government among other serious current event issues. Impressive substance at the core of those cuts without question. Ab-Soul is definitely one of the best lyricists in Hip Hop today in my opinion. Control System is more than likely the best new album from start to finish that I've heard this entire year.

Tech N9ne Speaks On R.A. The Rugged Man, ‘Holla-Loo-Yuh’, Not Giving A F*ck [VIDEO]

When it comes to emcees other than Tech N9ne that are quick-spitting, hyper-intricate, and actually have something to say, it’s pretty much impossible to leave R.A.
