Permalink Reply by ЖĭϞϬ ƦΔϟŦԃ on February 6, 2013 at 2:36pm Depends on what your definition of good is. He's "classic" hip-hop. So if you like old-school, east coast hip-hop then really anything you can find is good. While I respect his craft and his influence on the culture, I'm 23. Dude was releasing music before I was born, and I wasn't raised on hip-hop. So I can't vibe with his sound.

Permalink Reply by a tie a on February 6, 2013 at 7:13pm Guess Who's Back by Rakim is mad dope. I haven't gotten deep into his music but I'm always playing that track, shit's a classic
Permalink Reply by Jerm on February 6, 2013 at 9:03pm My Melody, Know the Ledge, Microphone Fiend, No Competition, Follow the Leader, Lyrics of Furry, Paid in Full, I Ain't No Joke, The Punisher, Kick Along... Basically Just listen to Eric B & Rakim four albums. Rakim was a pioneer in the more intricate style of rap that is heard today. The stuff prior was good, but different. You have Run DMC and LL Cool J using more simple rhyme schemes and doing more of a chanting cadence rather than a mellow and smooth delivery. I'm 22 going on 23, so I'm probably around the same age as the rest of you, but I'm just really into hip hop. Tech actually made me listen to more metal and rock that I had prior.
