Just wondering what everyone's thoughts were on the EP. I thought it was pretty good. Some pretty dope stuff on it. I still want to listen to it a few more times before I decide which tracks are my favorite. Thoughts, opinions?

yeah what's funny to me is that out of their mixtapes, i liked Godemis' A LOT better than Ubi's, but thus far I like Ubi more on the EP.

Yeah I understand it's not the fairest comparison, but I'm just saying, I thought that Thrift Store Halos was more consistent, I'm not trying to compare the music itself, just the consistency of it, I know most everyone on Strange has the ability to put together a consistently dope EP, but like I said, it's still worth the money and I'm happy with it. But yeah, Ubi & Godemis have great chemistry, but are still dope when solo, I'm looking forward to any future releases from Ces Cru, whether it's solo or as a group

I feel you but I don't think comparing Ces to Mayday is fair lol. i personally loved this EP. only listened to it once full threw so far but i look at it like, they're still developing their skills and this is just an EP. for their first Strange release, it left wanting more from them so mission accomplished.

I kinda agree, after Colosseum and Klick Clack Bang I thought it was gonna be awesome front to back, but there were a few tracks where the beat and/or hook kinda lost me. But I still liked most of it, Tempus Fugit, Colusseum, Klick Clack Bang, Peter Parker and Time Is Now are all dope imo. It's Over is good, I like the verses for One Bomb State (except Info Gates), but I didn't really like the beat or chorus, so I'll probably end up skipping that song. I don't really like the hook for Livin' Life either. But I definitely think Thrift Store Halos was consistently great so compared to that, 13 isn't as consistent imo. Still a good EP though, don't regret buying it, can't wait for an LP.

It was ok nothing special after I herd click clack bang I thought its was going to be hella dope kinda let down a little bit but I was still cool

haha I can't stand it i think its just a waist of my time and have to skip it.  I actually cropped it out on my iPhone.

Now let me get this straight, its not fair to compare Ces Cru and Mayday, even though they are the only two 'Groups' in Strange music with 2 Emcees because Mayday is on a whole other level?.....So in other words you can't compare them because Mayday is way the fuck better?

no way? i LOVE that intro haha i think that shits sick. but i said its not fair to compare because imo mayday's on another fucking level of music.

REALLY!?  Well i guess Thrift Store Halos did have two per-released songs, 5 new tracks. 13 had what 8 new tracks?  The only thing about thrift store halos that i didn't like was the 1 minute and 30 second intro to Amnesia.

Mayday is hit and miss with me. They're either really fucking good on a track or it's just not worth listening too. Lyricically Ces Cru is better than Mayday IMO. Wrek is pretty damn lyrical, Bernz not as much. Where's Ubi and Godemis are both lyrically talented. It's all personal opinion either way. I like both groups.

not necessarily, its because the way mayday is, they're so versatile with their sound, i just feel like their ceiling is WAY higher.

i feel like Wrek is the second best lyricist on Strange behind Tech of course. and I really feel Bernz is underrated. what i've learned is Bernz just take a little longer to grow on you. but yeah this is all just opinion. i'm like part of the 2% that doesn't get butthurt when someone disagrees. the debate is valid either which way.

When i listen to Mayday i hear they got their raw emotion behind some of their tracks and then with others you can tell they just out having fun.  With Ces Cru i have yet to hear anything with good raw emotion, IMO Ces Cru is just two guys with above average flow/voices who are rapping for the sake of rapping..I feel like They don't have any meaning behind their music.

Also Agreed Wrek definitely makes Mayday what it is.

That kind of a perfect example at what I'm trying to get at.  Ces Cru just bores me to death because their shit is all the same sounding.  To me anyways. Where as Mayday can do it all, Thus making them a far more talented group of musicians. IMO!!!!!  But i'm still curious to see how Ces Cru Grows as a group.

13 is an excellent release whether you like it or not. Ces cru's musics strongest selling points are, from what I've gathered are their flows, word play etc...(not to say they aren't good in other departments of music) and they executed that very well on this ep and I enjoyed it. Mayday's best attributes are their unique sound, emotion, diverse concepts. What I'm trying to say is strange music didn't have to choose only one of the two acts, as they bring different things to the table and they are both really good at what they they're good at. yh?

Word, Ces Cru has good flow and word play.

I Like Ces Cru  more than i did when they  were first signed .. Klick Clack Bang  is wat caught me. As For the rest Ep the Lyrics and Beats are Soild and well put together. Worth Buyin

This all the way...I do hope that the next LP sounds more like "The Playground" but I'm glad I picked up "13". Their style & lyrical wordplay isn't for everyone, but that's exactly the point....I don't want everybody on the label to sound the same
