I like a lot of what's posted already although most of my favorites weren't from strange. Also surprised that nothing from TMTYL is on here or anything from Lupe Fiasco's album.

MGK, Macklemore, Lupe, Mayday, and Kendrick Lamar all put out really solid albums this year.

I was considering putting MAYDAY on my list, although I think TMTYL and THS are perfect (excluding only a few songs).  Also, MAYDAY is a rock/techno/hip hop/rap group? it's tough to label MAYDAY as rappers.  I was strictly listing rappers/MC's/hip hop songs

Control System by Ab-Soul was a great release in my opinion

hmmmm...I didn't even realize that album was released in 2012.

Some of my favorite songs from that album are:

  • Track Two
  • Terrorist Threats
  • Pineal Gland
  • Double Standards
  • ILLuminate
  • Black Lip Bastard
