Ok i honestly gave automatic a full listen while i was workin on the crib and the album is not bad like i said b4 but it isnt great, good with a few fuck ups in my opinion. The way the intro lead into track 2 got me thinking "ok this shit sounds nice" after that was the outkast track which i wasnt feeling when the vid dropped but it fit perfectly at the early part of the album and i actually dig that track now.So the album started out intense but lost momentum halfway and at the end. For me it was kind of like a musical roller coaster, some parts were nothing short of great but a few party n bullshit tracks and the eminem like humor kinda killed it for me.Im not calling cognito a biter though so some of you kids can spare me the insults unless you can refute my opinion with an intelligent case that has points other than "dude hes fuckin sick" other wise i prolly wont answer back.Anyhow i dont think any of you really give a fuck so back to the album. No i dont think cognito is a biter because I think it is possible for artists sounds to be influenced by another artist without being a clone.
Its obvious that "Cog" is heavily infuenced by Em as well as Hopsin is influenced by Em. Some of the delivery along with the witty stabs at crude humor were all reminders of a mid 20's Eminem.I would give an example but I dont feel like looking through "pill popping music" or 7 school sins" right now but listen closely and you will know what Im talking about if you are a big Em stan like myself. Now these type of similarities prolly wouldnt have been a big problem for me if songs like "i live life, hollywood and me be me" were less poppy sounding and didnt sound so damn similar to eachother.
I felt like the album couldve been a lil more deep and introspective since that was where the album started of at in the first place. But like I said it was like a rollercoaster ride.It kept going up and down up and down.No doubt that Cognito has talent and skill but this album at times was all over the place. At the end of the day though there are truly some gems on this album like " im goin crazy, outcast, violated, born 2 be fly, depression and pain.I dont regret spending my 16 dollars at all ppl.Just my opinions as a critical stan of hiphop.
I feel you dude. I don't like "I'm so high" the chorus is kinda whack but I like the rest of the album a whole lot. I've been jammin it a bunch this past week.
i will honestly say i got the album thinkin it would be good but not as good as it was
favorite song would be BORN 2 BE FLY and HIP HOP
cant tell ya the fav verse yet
and imma ya 9 easily
I gotta new favorite verse- the second verse on "I'm goin crazy." Cog kills that shit.
my roommates and i had a good amount of people over tonight, and I'm Goin Crazy randomly came on. Everyone literally stopped what they were doing and asked "who is this guy?" it was awesome

1. Best Song Born 2 Be Fly
2.Favorite verse Krizz Kaliko- Cuz im FLY LIKE AN EAGLE from Born 2 Be Fly
3. Rating 6
Dude I can't pick any favorites because its such a fuckin good album! But some of my favorites are Hip-Hop, Pill Poppin' Music, Seven School Sins, Born 2 Be Fly, and Stranger. Shout out to COG what up man? Met him in Billings, MT on the Strange Days tour VIP he's a cool dude everybody.
Oh and another thing...It seems that a lot of loyal Strange Music fans were skeptical about you at first Cognito as was I. I heard your shit on the Infection since I'm on the Street Team and I liked it. Then when I met you at the Strange Days Tour and you were fuckin cool I knew then and there that you were definately worthy for bein on Strange and you copped yourself a fan for life man for real. Ever since that day man I've been listenin to Automatic and I gotta say I think you blew a ton of people away. It doesn't seem like expectations were high for the album from Tech fans but when it dropped you really put people in their place because this is the sickest album I've heard in a while. Definately love it good work man keep it up!
