Well this is some bullshit

Calif. Bill Would Allow Video Monitors in Vehicles

The California Assembly has passed a bill that would allow video recorders to be installed on vehicles' dashboards. State law currently
prohibits dashboard devices that may obstruct a driver's view.

The bill is supported by companies that hire teams of drivers. They want to ensure their employees are driving safely and use the cameras to help determine fault in an accident.

The bill's author, Republican Assemblyman Nathan Fletcher of San Diego, said companies that use the recorders in other states have reduced their accident
claims.

The devices could record a vehicle's speed, where it travels, whether the driver wore a seatbelt and when the brakes were applied before an accident.

The bill, AB1942, passed the Assembly 49-0 and now moves to the Senate.

i dont do anything illegal when driving, been pulled over once. im also tired of people driving like dicks, but this just seems a little over the top. And i dont think it said it would only be in work vehicles, it just says companies support the idea. It would be in all vehicles

And it's not really violating our privacy if it is in work vehicles only. If you're on the clock then you're the company's liability.
See thats what i thought. I too think its over the top.

Yeah but the ACLU is going to make sure there are stipulations to this. . They think....

The bill should state explicitly that the recorder data
belongs to the vehicle owner.

An employee driver should be given the opportunity to consent
or refuse to consent to the use of the event data recorder in
the vehicle he or she drives.

The vehicle owner should have the ability to disable the video
event recorder and the ability to turn it off and on.

Data collection should be restricted to 30 seconds prior to
and after the event that triggers the video event recorder.

And most of the ones that are in affect already are on a loop until there is either a quick stop or an accident has actually occured
There goes hotboxing my car. lol.
do it when the car is off. lol

Shotgun...
Even with stipulations they will find a way around those if they want to. If the recorder belongs to the owner then why are we paying for their law??. If you can refuse then its the same as refusing to take a drug test. Its a fail or in any case you would automatically be at fault if you didn't have the recorder. And if you can turn it off then whats the point of even having it in the car.?? The one thing i do agree with is the 30 second loop.

Are they really going to come and put it in every single car in california? I doubt it. If they do I will just go to nevada and buy a car. lol I really don't see this happening anyways.

It has nothing to do with obama bruh, the author of the bill was actually a republican dude

Nick Laird said:
Thats bullshit because they can get all the info they need from a box that doesn't require a camera. Its another way for Obama to get into our personal lives and make it easier for world war 3. But they really do have a device that records all that info without the camera.
I know. I was just seeing if i could get conspiracy theories going. I have a few that this makes my theories make sense.

They already passed it. It did happen. And if they want to enforce it i think they should be responsible for paying for the cameras. But ohwell. I'm not even in Cali. I just don't want that shit to trickle over to Misery.

Eh, that's okay with me. I'll take this with a grain of salt meaning that marijuana is going to be decriminalized in november. roflcopter.
LOL. I wish it would be but am not holding my breath. Lets make some more cool alcohol commercials though so kids will drink and keep telling them that pot will kill them. That shits stupid to me.
