Linkin Park were once among my list of favorite Alternative bands around their Nu-Metal style releases of Hybrid Theory, Meteora, and Reanimation. Even the Jay-Z collaboration EP was noteworthy in my opinion. One of the biggest musical disappointments of my young life was the release of Minutes To Midnight. I absolutely abhor the majority of the project and couldn't believe that a band I had held in such high revere eventually would produce garbage. I decided to at least give each new album a shot following and continued to be severely let down to say the least. I have heard a couple of preview snippets from Living Things and was actually somewhat refreshed. I'm really hoping this new LP continues down that path and impresses me once it's download is complete. If there isn't some form of redemption, if you will, after a thorough listen through then I'm not sure if I'll ever be satisfied with their newer work.

My copy came in the mail today. Earliest I've ever received a preorder before.

This album is gold. Probably their best since Meteora. Been on repeat since I got it, which is rare for me.

Damn I'm impressed, didn't think LP had a shot of beating Maroon 5 for #1 debut this week.

I agree.  It's been fantastic, I haven't stopped listening to it.  Can't wait for the "Lost in the Echo" video, July 13th I think.  Sometime around then.
