Yeah thats right futhamuckaz i said it. I dont think a tech rock album is a good idea!!!Now before some of u stans go off onna big ole "fuck you" fest
allow me to explain.The reasons covered in this weeks sermon will change the way some of you think and act forever and ever.(you know im joking right?)But anyway lemme hit you off with some of my irrefutable opinionated thoughts.Imma go slow so some of u potheads, e tards and dumbasses can comprehend(again Im only fuckin with you)!!!\
We as tech fans are all brought together on this site due to an artist that caught our attention through his craft (i.e. music) which= tech rapping
which =HIPHOP),am I right???The fact that 99% of tech's fans including
myself have come to know this man only by the music he makes(HIPHOP)
why should we wanna hear him make any other kind of music???I mean
he might be able to play the cello in his spare time but i dont wanna go see him perform as a member of an orchestra.I guess what i am trying to say is
"if it aint broke then dont fix it'.Im sure if he does decide to go through with this kabosh venture he will still be dropping bars but at the same time is he gonna try to sing too???And why???I think tech told us why in that interview
up on youtube,when he said he did a song with kmk or whoever it was and he said "the response was huge" with that being said it seems he is trying to appeal to a certain fanbase. And that is usually money motivated above all.Now dont get me wrong im not knocking the hustle or calling him a sell out.Shit its all about breaking bread and keeping your family fed and there aint nothing realer than that period.What im trying to say is that when somethiing like money motivates a person enough to change a steady and
sure footing to chase after a chance just to get more of what they allready have. like devoted fans,money itself and a the biggest following that an indie artist can possibly obtain in these unstable times things dont always seem to come from the heart and soul instead they tend to come from a desire to obtain more and more.Maybe thats the "clown dna" coming from tech or maybe Im wrong and it will turn out to be beautiful.But remember
a rock/rap album is nothin new.We have seen plenty of artists try this out like everlast,cypress hill shit even vanilla ice,and in my opinion they failed miserably.Maybe thats why b real came back to his roots and just dropped the best album of 09 so far(in my opinion).The thing that is similar about the artists i just mentioned is that they all tried the rock shit at a time in their
career when they were struggling in the rap game.I just dont see tech struggling so why even go there???Do you think he really has rock running through his veins like he does hiphop or is he simply just a fan???I think
he emulates hiphop in its truest most purest form and just likes certain rock or metal groups as a fan.But then again i could be wrong but if im right
I would much rather hear the epitome of hiphop rap his ass off than a fan of rock rocking out to get money.So call me selfish,stingy or what ever the fuck but keep making the music that we have grown to know and love.

I respect your thoughts on Kabosh. It may sound like its a little too late for this album to come out, due in part of the whole "copying" and ridin on coat tails thing. But the people who will have this opinion (in the industry) will be those who put out trash on the radio and make music that is watered down for a lame demographic with short attention spans. It isnt the same music that you or I grew up with, its all cut and paste. Copy and repackage rhymes. Nothing orignal. But it still wont stop Tech from attempting to create the Kabosh album.
A few issues i have with your point. You compare other artists downfall and their struggles in sales from experimenting with their music. Somehow this is to compare with Tech how? Last i checked, Tech wasnt a struggling artist. In fact, I recently watched some video from a news station in KCMO about tech and his label being very profitable in downtimes, AKA the recession. I dont remember the video name, but im sure you will find it on youtube.
Tech N9ne is Techinque, to the nine, the circle of completion. His music has been EVERYTHING, he hasnt just stayed hip hop or rap. His music is a constant experiment, coming out with new ways to entertain, so he isnt one-sided or boring. And because of his ability to do this is why he has the fans that he has and constantly grows daily. If i were to ask you what your favorite song is, could you really narrow it down that far to say that ONE song is superior to everything he has ever created?
And what is this factuation with associating Tech with the word SELLOUT? Havent we all wanted to see the psycho ambassor to get to the top and to get record play so he could infect the world with his music? So we could all see him on a much bigger stage where he belongs? This is a sellout if he gets the record play across the country and his music starts getting accepted in the mass media? So for tech to be the most successful he has to stay underground forever?
I know fans might be afraid that somehow Kabosh will be or sound like Rebirth (lil wayne), but you need to understand that not everyone sees the glass half full. These artists are from two different spectrums, so dont expect this album to sound like some singing, american idol fest, mixed with autotunes. We can only hope that Tech will put his best foot foward and come with something very grimy and heavy.

Good point!!! I wasnt comparing Tech to the other artists as far as sales go,I was simply saying that other artists have tried this type of project before at a time when they were struggling.But when this talk about kabosh started we were hearing lil tell tale songs and interviews about tech possibly considering retiring but its obvious now that he has a much different outlook.I was simply stating that for the other artists it seemed to be a "last resort" and in my opinion Tech didnt need to go there.LIke I said thats all out the window now.As far as the word "sellout" I never called him one in fact i hate that word I was simply saying that I hope this album comes from his own desire and will to do so instead of being solely money/fan motivated.K.o.d was from a real place and we all saw the end result.A beautiful ,near flawless album.But as time goes on I have come to the realization that one of the reasons Tech is my favorite artist is because he does whatever the fuck he wants and thats why we have seen such consistency and evolution within his craft which is usually unheard of when it comes to artists that have been in the game for so long.I always said I was going to buy this album no matter what and the fact still stands.Today though,Im actually a lil more curious and excited to hear kabosh as opposed to a year ago.I want to see if he can lay all my pre notions to rest.I want to be wrong this time.Now Im just leary about the time factor.Its supposed to be out this year along with plenty of other projects he has a hand in.An experimental album like this should require a lot of fuckin time dont you think??I dunno,we will see what happens.
