Yeah thats right futhamuckaz i said it. I dont think a tech rock album is a good idea!!!Now before some of u stans go off onna big ole "fuck you" fest
allow me to explain. The reasons covered in this weeks sermon will change the way some of you think and act forever and ever.(you know im joking right?)But anyway lemme hit you off with some of my irrefutable opinionated thoughts.Imma go slow so some of u potheads, e tards and dumbasses can comprehend(again Im only fuckin with you)!!!\

We as tech fans are all brought together on this site due to an artist that caught our attention through his craft (i.e. music) which= tech rapping
which =HIPHOP),am I right???The fact that 99% of tech's fans including
myself have come to know this man only by the music he makes(HIPHOP)
why should we wanna hear him make any other kind of music???I mean
he might be able to play the cello in his spare time but i dont wanna go see him perform as a member of an orchestra.I guess what i am trying to say is
"if it aint broke then dont fix it'.Im sure if he does decide to go through with this kabosh venture he will still be dropping bars but at the same time is he gonna try to sing too???And why???I think tech told us why in that interview
up on youtube, when he said he did a song with kmk or whoever it was and he said "the response was huge" with that being said it seems he is trying to appeal to a certain fanbase. And that is usually money motivated above all.Now dont get me wrong im not knocking the hustle or calling him a sell out.Shit its all about breaking bread and keeping your family fed and there aint nothing realer than that period. What im trying to say is that when somethiing like money motivates a person enough to change a steady and
sure footing to chase after a chance just to get more of what they allready have. like devoted fans, money itself and a the biggest following that an indie artist can possibly obtain in these unstable times things dont always seem to come from the heart and soul instead they tend to come from a desire to obtain more and more.Maybe thats the "clown dna" coming from tech or maybe Im wrong and it will turn out to be beautiful. But remember
a rock/rap album is nothin new.We have seen plenty of artists try this out like everlast, cypress hill shit even vanilla ice,and in my opinion they failed miserably.Maybe thats why b real came back to his roots and just dropped the best album of 09 so far(in my opinion). The thing that is similar about the artists i just mentioned is that they all tried the rock shit at a time in their
career when they were struggling in the rap game.I just dont see tech struggling so why even go there???Do you think he really has rock running through his veins like he does hiphop or is he simply just a fan???I think
he emulates hiphop in its truest most purest form and just likes certain rock or metal groups as a fan.But then again i could be wrong but if im right
I would much rather hear the epitome of hiphop rap his ass off than a fan of rock rocking out to get money. So call me selfish, stingy or what ever the fuck but keep making the music that we have grown to know and love.

sincerely DUKECITYSPECIALIST

kabosh never had a set release date. tech had been waiting to find a band to play for kabosh, and he only found them a couple months ago

Tech wants to be a master of his craft(I.e. Music) which crosses several genres he's just tryin a different aproach to the same game and I'm sure his style won't change on kabosh as much as it will have evolved into a darker style
which is why an album set to release in 09 was pushed to 2010 which was after kod
I think he did that to get back to the darkness before finishing kabosh
ya i agree with the idea being a GOOD one. There have been rapers trying the rock twist like Cypress Hill, with skull and Bones wich was one disc rap and the other rock, then the album after that was a straight rock album. wich was alright, but i feel tech def. has the ability to pull this off into his own style and make it sound real good. look at Ludacris' new album entitled "Rockstar", i doubt he has any rock type songs on it, they just like to use that phrase.
i didnt even know kabosh was going to b a rock album, thats a bit of a bummer. i agree but will still buy...and probably love the album
Damn this threads still around??? I still stand by my discussion and its points.I know I will buy a coulple of kabosh albums when the time comes and I hope I am wrong about what I said.I just hope this album is strictly from Tech's own desire to do so and not obligation.
I actually posted this discussion almost a year ago when I still believed ppl on this website would read a discussion topic with more than 20 words and no colorful pictures. Also just because an artist decides to break out of thier normal genre doesnt mean that they are super talented in the new genre are venturing in.It just means they are willing to take risks. If you statement was true and irrefutable then we could say lil wayne, cypress hill and vanilla ice are pristine rock musicians who thrived off of thier rock ventures.

Man i only read 3 lines. You talk as much as a woman.
Kabosh will be great. you need to widen your music taste.
when ppl break out of one category it shows how talented they are.
the difference is tech n9ne IS super talented.

tech has a huge fanbase comprised of actually a lot of rock, punk and metal fans as well as people who love hip-hop and rap.
tech also has very obvious rock elements in his music. it'll get him more attention too. do you want your favourite artist to be on top or not?
[:
I doubt it will get him more attention, like you said the majority of his fans who are fans of rock will keep on listening and as far as the hiphop crowds go ,it will likely be a turn off to them.I think we all know what crowd Tech hopes to acquire more of ,just by listening to his lyrics and watching his aim when he tours and collabs.I know he just recenty said "I dont give a fuck what you think about me anymore" but I think deep down hes really reaching for the more urban crowd when we see what hes been doing lately but this whole thing about kabosh dropping this year could make his last quoted statement true.So basically,I dont know but I am curious to hear this album now.We will see!!!!

very good point. kabosh will probably not get him any many new fans, its an album made for people like me who love rock/rap mashups. its not gonna be an album for the straight hip/hop fans

it doesn't matter, because whatever tech puts out is GOLD! Being a follower from the beginning, everything he does is what's best for him and his fans at the time. If he has to alter his music to keep with what's big, good for him. No matter what anybody says, they WILL continue to follow him, mainstream or not. I remember about a year ago, EVERYONE on this site was saying "fuck eminem", and now they say "oh it would be so awesome if tech and em do another track together". people change when they realize what really can be produced. I'll never quit listening to Tech no matter what he does, because even if he changes to music and lyrics more appealing to the majority, it's Tech, and he's still gonna get his message across one way or another. Look at what he's done and where he's come from, if you're a true believer in what he's created and what he's done, you will respect him for what's he's done and what he will continue to do. ALL HAIL TO THE N9NE!!!
well its not like he's completely dedicating his time to rock. k.o.d. lost scripts and a collabos album coming out, were gonna get plenty of hip-hop from tech this year too

I'd rather hear a rap album over anything, but I'd give Kabosh a chance.
yeah i was going to say the same shit. people acting like techs putting rap away. damn, look at the line up for the year, think of kabosh as a sick addition to the tech collection.
