Permalink Reply by AJ on May 27, 2011 at 10:32am I liked TGMP, but i agree w Mike. some of the collabos could of been a little better. But still a solid album. I think it was a dissapointment to some cause Tech is held to such a high standard. Anything less than that standard to some fans is a let down. And they were different songs than we are used to from Tech. I think its a great summertime, party album. And there are sick verses throughout.
All 6s & 7s so far sounds like it will far exceed TGMP and many fans expectations. The songs that have been released are top notch. And the snippets sound amazing. The beats are also top notch. I have faith that the features will step up and murder these tracks (even Wayne) he will be under the microscope on here, so i think he will step up. Also i think judging by snippets, and pre released tracks, Techs flows are at an all time best. I dont think this album will dissapoint at all. And my prediction is that this album will become the favorite for alot of fans.

Permalink Reply by Tony Thomas on May 27, 2011 at 12:46pm I don't get why everyone knocks the Gates Mixed Plate. We get it, you guys are so deep & don't believe rappers should have a good time. It didn't have as much meaning to it as his other albums but it did have meaning whether you understand it or not. As Tech said, it was a lighter album than usual. When people talk about how deep Tech N9ne songs are they only mention his darker side, nobody ever mentions Need More Angels which makes me think that most Tech N9ne fans do just want him to be depressed so they can get what they want out of his music.
I'm in the darkness so low I'm under the carpet, Whomever wants me to park it you motherfuckers are heartless,
They want be stuck with hardships want an unhappy artist...So do you? Or was this just not a good album? I know most of you will just say it was a terrible album so we'll just mark this as a rhetorical question I guess.
Permalink Reply by Brent Bertrand on May 27, 2011 at 1:05pm The snippets of 6s & 7s alone kill GMP. ONE of the 4 songs (FANS, Mental Giant, WWC & Mama Nem) kill that whole album.
GMP was by far Tech's worst album. I don't count Celsius.
But yeah, this has been discussed a bunch of times already. GMP was just an average, okay album. It was by far his worst produced album, the beats were just bland, cheap and dull sounding, and all sound like they were made on Fruity Loops in 10 minutes. The creativity, depth and energy was just not there either. The collabs were forgetful.
But yeah, 6s & 7s will totally destroy GMP. The question is, where will it rank all time? Anghellic & AP will always be my #1 & #2, but I think it can beat out K.O.D. & Everready for me.

Permalink Reply by a tie a on May 27, 2011 at 6:25pm Exactly Man!!!! Alot of these guys on here dont understand why Tech N9ne put out OGMP. He put that out because after K.O.D. he wanted to party hella hard. K.O.D. had him in a state of depression so, he wanted to make a album that was fun and full of light to get him out of that state. It seems like some of you guys that call yourselves fans dont understand what he is been doing and why he makes his albums the way he does. Tech N9ne knows exactly how to make albums. If your not diggin his new music and think he should just stay all Dark and sad, than go to hell!! He is Tech N9ne. His name means in a nuttshell HE CAN DO ANYTHING IN HIS POWER!!!!!

Permalink Reply by Scotty King on May 27, 2011 at 6:35pm Im already know A6A7S will outdo TGMP
1. TGMP was a collab not a solo
2. TGMP only had 2 outstanding songs. ( Harvey Dent, and O.G. ( O.G. was my fav ) )
3. Tech even said A6A7S was going to be better than the last one in a interview
4. I still also think K.O.D. and Absolute Power are his 2 best till A6A7S
